Disoriented

“Mmmm…”

A soft moan resonated in Anastasia’s bedchamber.

The drowsy sound of the Queen was not audible enough to immediately grab the attention of Martha and Holly who were currently in the room next door.

“Hmm…” Anastasia let out another groan and yawned while stretching her sore arms.

She lazily scrunched her nose and brows as she slowly opened her heavy eyelids. She felt a bit confused when her eyes met with absolute darkness.

‘Wait, why is it so dark?’

A sudden fear crept into her heart, prompting her heartbeat to go faster in an instant.

Her mind was still disoriented, maybe because of the deep sleep that she was just in. And she was afraid thinking that while she was sleeping she was carried somewhere else.

She blinked several times to adjust her eyesight to the dark and patted around the bed to make sense of where she was at the moment.

She abruptly sat up on the bed and looked around in a panicked state.
