"Status report?" The director said as he clutched both of his hands together. He watched the scene unfold at the rear of the base they were to attack, patiently waiting for a reply so that he could relay orders to the troops behind him.

[They've started responding, but there are still very few of them. I suggest you wait until they've deemed we are a heavy threat] Ellysa's voice echoed from the director's earpiece.

With a subtle nod, the director replied, "Alright. Immediately inform me once they're out."

Among the troops were Grace and the entirety of unit alpha. She couldn't help but tap her elbow with her finger repeatedly as they waited for an order to attack. 

"This is taking longer than expected… honestly, they should be capable of just uprooting this shit in a matter of seconds!" One of the members of unit alpha muttered as they grew impatient, agitation evident in their voice.
