I Was Actually Very, Very Injured
Lilian Mo smiled bitterly to herself. She did not say these things to the little girl. It was selfish of her but she also knew just how much Mu Qingqing loved her parents.
Even in her previous life, this little girl believed in those two people only to be betrayed in the end.
Lilian Mo understood that she was being selfish by keeping this and she was aware that the truth would come out someday. Their paths will eventually cross but Lilian Mo regretted nothing.
By that time, Mu Qingqing would no longer be the same as before. The little girl would be someone strong and capable enough of protecting herself.
If she really was going to tell anyone, maybe she could tell Mizuki Rei. However, that guy would tell Mu Qianmo and with Fu Yangzhu's knack for gossip, he would also find out. With how talkative that guy was, everyone in the team would quickly know about this information.
She would not risk it.
Lilian Mo had long braced herself for the consequences of revealing her knowledge about the future. She was prepared to be hated and scorned at the end of her path.
She was also prepared to face death once more as long as she was able to exact revenge on the people that had caused the most pain in the ones she loved. She was a selfish person, that much she was aware of.
The guys gathered around them. They looked a little worn out since they were the ones who fought the most. Atleast Lilian Mo could now tell that they were reliable after watching how capable they were as a team.
"Hey, why is Qingqing crying?" Mizuki Rei looked at Lilian Mo unhappily. It was his turn to give her an accusing stare. She ignored him, of course.
"Brother Qian, how are you feeling? Your injuries..." She paused, noticing that the man's wounds had healed and that he looked better than the rest of the boys.
Mu Qianmo was slightly embarrassed as he admitted that it was because Lu Jingren gave him the resin that was meant for Lu Jingren's injuries.
"I see..." Lilian Mo said blankly.
"The two of you.." She finally looked at Mizuki Rei and Fu Yangzhu.
"Sister-in-law, don't worry! This much isn't new. We've been through worst-case situations before." Fu Yangzhu said, not minding that his hearing might be damaged.
Lilian Mo sighed at how stupid this guy was.
Mu Qingqing raised her head. After hearing that her fiancee was injured, she wiped her tears away and worriedly looked at Mizuki Rei.
"Reirei, how bad are your wounds? What can I do to help you?" She said as she inspected Mizuki Rei's body.
"Qingqing, I'm not that injured! You have nothing to worry about." Although he was feeling pain in his ears, he was not about to admit that infront of his lovely fiancee and cause her to worry more. As a man, how can he look weak?
"You are such a weakling." Lilian Mo said as she took out two resins from her space. Before Mizuki Rei could make a rebuke, Lilian Mo pried open his mouth and shoved a resin inside.
She turned to Fu Yangzhu who jumped upon seeing the ferocity in her eyes.
"Hehe, sister-in-law, I was wrong. I was actually very, very injured." He said with a scared look on his face. Lilian Mo handed him the resin which he quickly accepted and gulped down without hesitation.
"You aren't kids anymore. Don't act tough by hiding your injuries. What if the injury to your ears caused you to lose your sense of hearing. If you can't hear the mutants approaching, how are you going to fight? When you're caught off guard by them, can you still say that this much isn't anything new?" Lilian Mo lectured as she looked at the two disapprovingly.
The two boys hung their heads, feeling a bit ashamed. She was right. Although the two were arrogant, they could still see the logic in her words.
Feeling relieved that the two guys were willing to acknowledge their mistakes, she finally asked about the crystal core.
"I gave the crystal core to Xiao Ji. Do you have any objections?"
"That isn't a problem. Sister-in-law, you gave us so many crystal cores so I definitely won't fight over this one." Fu Yangzhu admitted as he looked at Zhang Youji's sobbing figure.
Mizuki Rei echoed his sentiment. "Although this crystal core is a Level three, I'm not so cruel that I would take it from a child. That's the only thing Xiao Ji has of his mom. If it was my mother, I would also.." His voice trailed off.
Mizuki Rei awkwardly laughed and they quickly understood his reaction. Some of them still have their families which made this a very sensitive topic for each of them.
Mu Qianmo decided to speak up to relieve the tension. "Little sister Mo, I also have no qualms giving the crystal core to Xiao Ji. I'm also sure that Boss Ren won't mind. It's Little sister Mo who dealt the final blow anyway."
