Comeet Legacy

[Hello, Levi] The synthetic, automated voice came again. Born a sickling and grew that way, Levi was never ready to bear the consequences and responsibilities of being the host to the construct that burrowed into his neck. Not only did it cure him from his lethal illness, it also granted him extreme abilities. With schemes and lies holding up what's left of the planet, Levi has to suffer loss, anger and betrayal in his endeavour to avenge the murder of his father. But the system doesn't only want Levi to satisfy his own anger-driven desires. It wants Levi to save the remaining population from another Ròkks raid and build a new civilization. What happens when this new intergalactic civilization start falling apart for the same reasons that once pushed him? How much more people—or rather, sentients of different anatomy—lose their lives before balance is restored? "I'm tired," Levi whispered, falling to his knees. "This should all stop." [As long as I'm in existence, it won't, Levi] Levi gripped his hair and screamed voicelessly. "Then leave me!" He shouted, his voice reverberating all around the empty void of pitch black darkness. Weak & Poor

Earth's Fall- Day 5112- 11:03AM- The Shed, Mayskeep, Tundra, North Wing.

Little Levi made his way to the basement. It was a bright morning and his young brain was headed for adventures. He slowly went down the stairs and opened the door slightly.

He could see his father's back facing him in the surrounding darkness. The man was leaning over a table covered with lots of papers, with a bright white light beaming on it from the low ceiling.

"Dad?" Levi called out to him.

His father turned to see his son at the door, he took in a deep breath and said calmly, "What are you doing here son?"

Levi walked in with his fingers crossed at his back, "I was wondering if you'll join me with my system play, you will be Chris Redfield and I'll be Leo-"

"Levi, I don't have time for that sort of a thing." His father interrupted coldly, "Go outside and go play with your friend."

Levi stood disappointed, "It's just that Mom used to cosplay with me every Saturday morning."

"But she's dead now isn't she?!"

There was a pause. Levi's father noticed his flaw and tried to touch Levi, but the little boy wiggled away and ran back upstairs.

He was angry, angry at his father. He stomped into the the open room, sat on a chair and rested his head on the metal table. He heard a knock on the frontdoor and he stood up to get it.

Levi opened the door revealing a rather regal man. "Hellooooo" The man boomed with smiles, he had a blonde hair, he was tall and in a black suit. "How are you? Can you call Daddy for me?"

Little Levi stood still unimpressed as he held the door, he looked up at him, "Why? What do you want?"

"Levi, be kind to people," his father's voiced emerged from behind him, "This is Mr. Lance, Levi" His father looked at the man, "Come in."

Levi reluctantly gave way for the man to enter, they hardly had any visitors talkless of a man in suit.

"How was he able to that?" Levi asked, amazed. He saw everyone around the boy who just floated in the air with flames clapping and patting him at the back.

Abby double tapped Levi on his shoulder, "Everyone of us can do special things like he just did. Come on let's go," she offered him first as they walked across the large room.

"So you can do something like that?"

"Yes." She showed him her palm and sparks of electricity dances around her fingers. "This is my ability."

Levi was astonished. He didn't notice when she kept on walking, "You can do something like this you know."

"Me?" Levi asked nervously as he quickly kept up with her.

"Yes, like I said every ingent can." They arrived to a stand across the room. Levi watched as the boy who performed the fire trick was undressing from the safety attire. They met a tall man, he was the only adult not in white. He sat cross-legged like he was in charge.

"Is he new?" The blonde man asked Abby. She nodded in confirmation. The man handed Levi a piece of paper.

"What's this?" Levi asked taking the paper.

"Read what's on it." The man ordered without taking a look at Levi's face.

Levi nervously looked at Abby before reading out what he saw on the paper, "Nine." He squinted in confusion, "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked.

"That's your name now... Nine." The man said as he stood up, he finally took a look at Levi's face. The man cocked his head, "Do I know you?"

"I... I don't think so." Levi stammered

"Follow me." The man ordered. He led them to a corner of the room. Levi could see all sorts of science labaratory equipments. He showed Levi into a vertical transparent box. Levi studied the inside of the box, he couldn't tell what anything was, but he knew this was advanced technology. Abby stood outside the box and watched him, she gave him a look of 'just do what they ask you to do'.

"Place your hands on the dashboard." The man said folding his arms, as a few staff operated at the computer set opposite to the box. Levi did as he asked. "Now" The man ordered the staff.

Levi watched the serious staff as they operated on the computers before them. He started to feel a shock of energy in him, it was a bit painful, but he didn't want to scream in front of everyone.

When the pain stopped, a dull grey colour illuminated from the top of the box. Levi turned to Abby and he caught her eyes look down. What did the light mean? He heard the box open and he stepped out. The man walked up to him and slapped him hard at the back, "I knew you'd be a washout," he snickered.

Levi walked over to Abby with everyone looking at him. As they made their way out of The Den, Levi piped up, "Care to tell me what that was all about?" He asked edgily.

Abby frowned as they walked back into the hallway. She started, "When I came to this place, they named me Bee," she paused and turned to face him, "I stepped into the box and it displayed red." "There are 4 colours, golden, red, blue, green and grey. Each shows capabilities in heirarchy and...grey is the lowest. That means you have very weak and poor abilities."

Levi stood still trying to digest what she just said. She continued, "Yours displayed grey, that means your abilities will be no higher than something like 'understanding many languages' ." She sighed, "Don't think about it too much. Come, I'll introduce you to the others."
