chapter 10

Song kang left Sky Castle with han seo to hang out with the others. Usually, they would hang out at Diego's place or the Sky Castle, but this time, they had to meet up at Jae-In's place. When they arrived, Diego and Seung-gi were already there.

Jae-In lived seperately from his parents at a big mansion which looked almost empty and gloomy. Whenever they met at his place, diego would make fun of him saying that jae-In's place resembles his personality. Well, in any case that emptiness didn't really matter to any of them. None of them expected each other's places to be pleasant and not-so-gloomy. To be more exact, they never did anything fun together except for gaming and having simple conversations. Seung-gi and Diego would often hang out together but they had quite the opposite personalities. Seung-gi was quite the book addict and often played video games as he preferred staying indoors. On the contrary, Diego was athletic and liked to stay outdoors as much as possible. On the other hand, Jae-In and Song-Kang were voluntary outsiders who had similar personality traits. Even at the academy back then, they were well-known for being unapproachable. Both came from a similar social status and had akin habits. Song kang would go horse-back riding or auto racing together with Jae-In. That included everything they did to make their spare time a bit worthwhile. Apart from that, all they had to do was to go on business trips abroad and join official meetings representing the groups.

When they arrived at Jae-in's , they already knew that non of them had a mind to do something special other than having a small chat.

Song kang sat on the long couch and lit up a cigarette. Then he passed the lighter back to Jae In who was sitting next to him. Neither of them cared to talk first.

Seung-gi was busy playing a video game on his phone. When he saw han Seo, he waved at him.

" Yo…! Han so, Long time no see.." he shouted.

Diego punched him on the back of his head. "You punk, don't yell while wearing that headset. We can hear you well without your shouting."

Han seo looked at them and smiled. "Yeah, it's been some time right?". And then he looked at Jae-In. "Are you going somewhere now?" he asked.

"No." jae-In replied. "you want the car?"

Han Seo nodded in response.

"Take it then, here's the key…" Jae-In said while handing him over the Car keys.

"Thanks" han seo replied.

"I'll be Right back. Call me if you're going somewhere else." he said to Song Kang while rushing towards the door.

"Don't rush it. Take your time. I'm not planning to go anywhere." Song kang replied.

"Yeah, he's right. Also, give our regards to 'Halmeoni' okay?" Diego said.

"I will…" Han Seo replied with a smile, opened the door and left.

"Is his grand mother that unwell?" Seung-gi asked.

"Yeah, it seems like that." Jae-in replied.

"he's right, that guy won't look so distressed if she was doing fine." Song kang said.

"Now I feel bad. We didn't even had a chance to pay her a visit." Diego sighed. " She's such a nice lady."

No one said anything for a while after that. "Right, talking about nice lady, …how's your fiancee?" Seung- gi suddenly asked song kang.

"My Fiancee? Why are you asking about her?" Song Kang questioned.

"It's just that, she looked like an interesting girl to me." seung-gi said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Interesting?" Song Kang asked. "In what way?"

"well… In many ways. She's friendly and kinda amusing. Isn't she?" Seung-gi replied, while looking at Diego.

"Yeah. It would've been nice if she could join us for a few more rounds. We didn't even get to finish the semi final round of that game" Diego replied.

"What?! another round? You mean she played video games with you?" Song Kang asked.

"yeah! Why are you surprised though?" Diego asked.

"Since when have you become close with her? I know you never invite a stranger to play a video game." Song Kang said.

"yeah, strange right? We only met her a few days ago. So, we casually invited her to hang out with us. Surprisingly, she agreed." Seung-gi said, smiling.

"what's more surprising is that, she won over me and seung-gi in all the rounds. She even defeated Jae-in." Diego added.

"What? Is that true?" Song Kang asked Jae-in.

Jae-in nodded in response. "I admit that she was quiet talented." he said.

"Yeah, Raimin-ssi didn't seem to be an arrogant person." Seung-gi added, while nodding his head.

"what…? 'Raimin-ssi' ? so, you're on first name basis?" Song Kang snapped.

Diego shrugged his shoulders. "Yeah, she asked us to call her by her first name." he said.

"You also called her like that?" Song kang asked Jae-in.

Jae-in shook his head. "Not yet. I didn't feel like it. She used to ignore all of us except you before. But now it seems the other way to me. I can't get used to her change in personality."he replied.

"You also think like that? I don't know if she's doing it on purpose, but, it's certain that she's been ignoring me. Now, it really feel like she has lost her memories." Song kang said.

"Isn't that a good thing? If she has lost her memories, then that means she might not want to continue with your marriage." Jae-in asked.

"Yeah, it's exactly what I wanted back then. For her to get sick of me. But this, just doesn't feel right." song kang mumbled.

At that moment, Diego's phone started ringing. He didn't rush to pick it up. In fact, he totally ignored it.

"Yo, pick it up. It's the third time. Don't you think it's something urgent?" Seung-gi asked.

"nah… It's alright. They need to know that I'm busy too. I can't go there whenever they call me." Diego replied.

"But you're not busy." Seung-gi laughed.

"I am busy. Gimme that phone. I'm gonna continue with this round." Diego said, snatching seung-gi's phone.

"Pick it up bro. If not, your mom's gonna take back all your credit cards." seung-gi said.

Diego frowned and hesitated for a while. Then he picked up the phone and went out of the room.

After a while, he came back. "I gotta go. Sorry you guys." He said, picking up his coat. "You coming with me, seung-gi?" he asked.

"yeah, what about you guys?" Seung-gi asked, while getting up.

"I'm staying here for a bit more. It's not like that old woman will come here looking for me." song Kang replied.

"Alright then, we're leaving." Diego said, waving at the gloomy faces of the two guys who were sitting on the long couch, saying nothing.

After they left, Jae-in turned his head and looked at song Kang. "What were you saying again?" he asked. "what exactly doesn't feel right?"

"it's just…. that girl, Kim Raimin. She's strange. The way she talks and acts. It's totally different. It's like she has become a totally different person." song kang said, slowly.

"Hmm… it's obvious that she's different from how she used to be. All of us have seen that already." Jae-In replied.

"You know what? when I met her that day when she woke up after that accident, she said something similar to that she's not the Kim Raimin I used to know and she's someone else. I thought she was saying nonsense because she was mad about me for not being there when she woke up. But, now It feels like it had a separate meaning for what she said. I somehow realized that she remembers nothing about what happened before. She's not avoiding me. Instead, she's being ignoring me." Song Kang said, puffing the smoke out of his mouth.

Jae-In stared at him blankly for a while. "Haa… Ignoring? Well it was quite obvious that she wasn't pleased to see your face." he said.

"what about your mother? Does she still keep on pressing you to meet up and talk with your fiancee?" he asked.

"No, she's been quiet lately. I don't know the reason. But she hasn't asked me anything about Kim Raimin lately. And that woman is Not my mother." song Kang replied, quiet sternly.

Jae-in took a book from the table into his hands. "We can't be sure about anything. But, things might have took a turn." he said, while slowly turning the pages of the book.

Song kang sighed. "don't know. I'm just gonna wait and see for some time."
