Some lost history
"When I found the sword I was twenty I would like to know why did you leave it?" Edward asked. "Simple, I left it so it could gain the energy of this world I'm not certain how it was taken out of the ocean depths but I placed it so no one would get it and use its power," Odin answered he took out another bottle the writing wasn't something Edward understood it looked as if it was some type of Chinese character or hieroglyphs combined. this was a sports drink from the exodus region specifically from the world of arlek.
"So what are the powers this sword has?" Edward asked if was always curious this sword never rusted it sliced anything with ease when he fought in world war one this sword cut through tanks like they were made of clay the more he used it the stronger he became so he later learned swordsmanship if he were to be ranked his skill with the sword was second to none hearing of that this sword had more he was interested.
"Well, the simple stuff you have seen since the energy kept being absorbed you also absorbed it becoming stronger and you've stayed young but the real stuff is this sword allows one to use the elements without problems." Odin lifted the sword and soon the sword was filled with black and white fire.
"you could summon clouds to drown this world if you wish of course you would need to be seen as a worthy owner the only reason you can't use it is that the sword had a job and that was to seal the world so humanity could progress faster." the sword returned to Normal Odin used his finger and drew a symbol of the ouroboros dragon the sword disappeared paced back into the warehouse.
"The sword also had a spirit that could teach you many things from simple languages to how to control time. The most important part of this sword was that it could completely skip the godhood trial." Odin said with a smile.
"Godhood can be obtained in a few ways one is having the people deify you, another is to become a certain strength in something that the universe considers you to become a god and another is to kill a god and take his title." after Odin finished Edward started thinking was it possible to be a god if he could then wouldn't this help him in his goal he didn't want to do the first route if people must believe in you to be God then he could lose his status if they forgot about him so he either had to do the second or third and he was inclined towards the second as hard as that one was.
"The sword could easily give godhood to the wielder if they were centered towards wealth then they would become the God of wealth. if they favored life then they would become the God of life. But this did come at a cost a god that didn't go through the trial is weaker than the one that did." Odin said.
"So what is the hidden erased history?" Edward asked if a part of history could be hidden it must have been very shocking right?
"That would be the era of God's during one of my lives on earth there was a period where the world was covered in energy this allowed one to cultivate and attain powers back then the world was bigger than this. Most normal people could live up to a few hundred easily destroy hills the stronger ones we're considered gods able to destroy the world. since there were many no one went crazy and did that but these people would be recognized as the gods of today's mythology some have been forgotten and erased but the few that lived are here." Odin said he thought back to the friends he made during that era.
"But why did you erase it and why did you seal the energy?" Edward asked from hearing about odins being to gods and all he was numbed pretty quick but still, he was curious could humans advance faster with the energy.
"Well, I wanted humanity to advance I wanted them to struggle so when they left the cradle they would have to ability to survive against all odds. also because most people were too arrogant if you wish to blame anyone for why you can't cultivate then blame your ancestors." Odin said as he raised his finger and pointed at Edward justifying his genocide.
"So during the end of that era, I killed most gods and destroyed some pantheons I slew the elven gods and the elves most native gods most of Celtic, Greek, and Hindu gods in a sense out of a hundred percent there are only twelve percent left. I also ended up destroying eighty percent of the earth." Odin said casually this shocked and scared Edward his complete discard for life was outstanding. how many must have died many must have been innocent people and he killed them just because some were arrogant?
"So how did you hide this history and it's evidence?" Edward asked something like this must have been recorded or told by word of mouth and where are the gods now?
"Simple magic, of course, some was still there like the gods you know today some aren't as what they seem though. Buddha was real, cool dude his eyes though kinda creepy. Zeus he really got misrepresented since he was another me like why the hell would I go r*pe someone this happened because Loki went and messed with everything. I was also as you guessed Odin and if you are wondering most end of days were just created by man. except the biblical end of days, the creepy man created that so he could gain more power." Odin said he soon remembered he needed to deal with him the dude was trying to find and kill him so he could gain his power.
"Is there anything else you wanna know I'll just leave a book about that time you can just read it." Odin said as he snapped his fingers and a mental book appeared in Edwards mind titled [The start and end of gods] Edward read some of the content and was instantly engrossed in it Odin saw this and just left leaving a paper saying goodbye.
