"Are you leaving?" I asked her because I didn't want her to.
"Yeah, I have to go now. See you at five." She winked at me with a corresponding smile before she turned to leave.
I smiled back even if she had already left and couldn't see me do so.
"Finally, I thought she would never leave." It was Dylan. I turned to him."Come on, let's go, I already had to wait for you and your princess to finish talking." He said, getting up and picking up his bag. I did so too.
In the cab, on our way home, I took out my phone and scrolled through my contact, I was going to save Ann's number now.
Tapping on her number, I clicked on the save contact icon and when it showed where to type in a name, I typed;
"My princess"

At my lodge.
"Jerry?" I heard my name while I slept but didn't answer.
"Jerry!" Dylan's voice was louder this time, loud enough to get me to open my eyes.
"Fuck you," I told him while sitting up because he just disturbs my sleep.
"Fuck me? Really? You know what? Go back to sleep, I don't care. You are right, fuck me for caring about your alarm ringing over and over without you waking up.
"Huh?" I asked at first but I suddenly remembered that I had set an alarm for five o'clock to meet Ann. Shit. "How long had it been ringing?" I asked him but he still seemed mad about how I acted after he woke me up.
"Don't ask me." He replied plainly and indifferently before attending to his glasses.
I ignored his reply and checked for my phone around the bed to see, how long it has been ringing.
"Fuck." I muttered after seeing that it was fifteen minutes past five. I immediately jumped out of bed and hurried to the wardrobe to get clothes.
Having one of the quickest showers I'm sure I have ever had, I put on my clothes and passed my body spray all over me like a maniac. Dylan looked up from what he was reading and gave me one of his usual looks.
"Okay, where are you going?" He asked but I said nothing, I just went on to comb my hair to keep it in place.
"Jerry?" He called me when I picked up my phone and wallet, ready to leave. I gave him my attention briefly by looking back at him."Where the fuck are you going?"
"Don't worry Dad, I'll surely be back on time." I gave him an unexpected replied and heard him hiss.
"Come on, I'm being serious?"
"I'm going to see someone," I said holding the doorknob, ready to leave.
"Who? and where?" Was he really serious with his questioning today? I sighed impatiently and opened the door, I didn't have time to stand there and answer all of his questions, Ann was probably waiting there for me.
I briefly wondered why she had not called me after not seeing me there; it was twenty-five minutes past five now. I decided that I would call her on my way out.
"I'll be back soon, don't worry," I said to Dylan and left before he could ask more questions and waste my time.
When the cab dropped me off at the school park, I stood for a while and looked around to see if I could find Ann with my eyes. When I didn't see her, I decided to call.
There weren't many people here, just a few and they were starting to leave. She didn't pick up her phone after it rang so I called again but she declined the call. Fuck. Was she mad at me?
I decided to call again while walking around this time, maybe I could see her or hear her phone ring because the park was not very large. I should have just called her before leaving my lodge, I hope she wasn't mad at me like I thought.
The phone rang for a long while this time before she picked it up. Before I could even say anything, I heard her, she seemed not to want to talk.
"Heyy, can you not call me now." She said hurriedly and hung up. I was right, she was mad at me, why else would she say what she just said?
My phone started to ring, I checked and it was her calling. I immediately picked up but didn't say anything; I didn't know what to say, I initially planned to apologize for being late but she seemed to be mad already.
"Who are you? why did she save your number with a heart emoji?" I heard a male voice ask after I didn't say anything."You are not gonna talk huh?!"
"What are you doing?! Give me my phone!" I heard Ann.
"Why is he not saying anything?! You told him not to, right?!"
"Give me my phone!" I heard Ann again and was propelled to say something but the call stopped. I couldn't even tell if she hung up or he did. I didn't even know who HE was. And why was he with her phone? Why is she with him?
I wanted to call her back but felt that it wasn't the right thing to do. I stood there contemplating between calling her or not when she called me back.
"Jerry?"
"Ann? Are you okay? Where are you?" I wanted to know if she needed help.
"I'm fine, are you not coming anymore?" She didn't sound like she did earlier.
"I'm here, I'm at the park, I'm sorry I'm late."
"Yeahhhh, are you putting on a blue-sleeved shirt?" She asked.
"Yeah?" I started to look around; could she see me?
"Hold on, I'll come to you." She said before hanging up.
Just like she asked, I stood waiting for her. I almost called her back, worried as I was but then I saw her walking towards me. She was wearing an Orange dress, it was knee-length and its arm had a thin sleeve that made it look sleeveless from afar. When she was almost near to where I was, I went to her.
