Desolate city!

<p>As Alex and his group made it out his mansion they were greeting with a wide selection of vehicles they had a selection of humvees and apc's ofcourse everything was sadly demilitarized so there isn't any weapons on them but they kept the armor all the vehicles had their organization name and logo on them all of these military vehicles came from either surplus's or buying from companies the black market had some sweet militarized vehicles but the entire country is under martial law smuggling them in is damn near impossible, as Alex and his crew mounted his vehicle of choice an apc that looked like a light tank made of steel and bullet proof glass "it's been a long time since I drove a armored vehicle" said Jose as he quickly climbed in the driver seat as Alex climb in the passenger and the rest of the squad climbed through the door at the back and sat in a row of seats "ok let's go I don't want to waste time" said Alex as Jose agreed and started the apc (armored personnel carrier) going out the gate of Alex's mansion onto the streets of the gated community the community at this moment looked dead except the house near Alex's mansion that are used for the veterans most of the people evacuated once they ran out of food or sooner they either went into military camps and bunkers for refuge or tried to leave the city the martial law ofcourse didn't stop them and the military didn't try to after all they aren't going to let them starve at their houses so the gated community had almost been abandoned with exception of a few elderly couples who couldn't move about luckily they had Alex that provided food to them <br/><br/>In a huge laboratory fit for atleast a dozen scientists you could only see 2 scientists working on equipment as the male worked he said "maybe we should of went with them dear" said the male as he continued "now even the security guards left leaving only us two in this facility and the army in this city is losing ground to those zombies we already lost communications with almost all the CDC's in big cities" said the man losing hope in finding a cure as his wife stops doing what she was doing looked at him and said "stop thinking of all that, that's how you lose hope and passion to find a cure once we lose hope everything is over" said the woman while the man sighed and said "I know and we are running out of test subjects the army has its hands full with refugees and zombies so it won't help us atleast not until they get the situation under control and going outside isn't an option" said the man while he shivered saying the last part as these things now roam the streets not a lot but enough to stop a person from going out<br/><br/>As Alex and his group made their way from apple creek to Appleton what they saw was pure desolation the entire city was almost devoid of human life with almost every block having at least 5 walking corpses making animalistic roars and growls as Alex and his group continued on south to a secluded beach on lake Winnebago where a 2 story building was located with a sign with the word CDC written on it as Jose parked the apc in the vacant parking lot alex and his team got out as they got the the apc they heard roars coming from the road they took to get here <br/><br/>"Bang bang bang!" <br/><br/>Alex fired 3 shots from his suppressed m4 killing three zombies that followed them here and said "5 will stay and secure the area while protecting the apc radio in when something happens the rest will come with me to the CDC" said Alex as 5 stood watch and secured the area around the CDC to kill the zombies that followed them while Alex and his group went to the door of the CDC, the door was made out of steel with a camera on top and a bottom with a speaker to the side he didn't want to break the door he wasn't here to kidnap them just to secure their safety so Alex started pressing the button he kept doing it for an entire 5 minutes when a voice came from the speakers<br/><br/>The 2 scientists were busy as always working on a cure day and night when suddenly beeping came about knowing that this was someone at the door typically this will be done by the security guard and the beeping won't sound in the laboratory but there was only 2 of them so they had to do it like this as the two made their way to the security room where they had cameras and buttons to open the door they couldn't help but feel nervous after all this could be the army or some refugees with no good intentions, as they stood infront of the monitors looking at the monitor that was connected to the camera outside the door they were a little cautious as they saw heavily armed men with more tactical gear on than even special forces wearing all black with a name and logo they do not recognize on them they were hoping that they would leave after pushing the button with no response but the leader kept on ringing with no signs they were going to leave so the male prepared himself and pushed a button and spoke into a microphone "who are you and what do you want?" Said the man as he waited for a response soon enough a response came "I'm Alex and these are my men and what we want is your safety"</p>
