Akihito POV

"Excuse me, may I have a moment of your time? I am Tanaka Oriki. Mr. Ayanokōji is anticipating your arrival, Mr. Sakayanagi. Please follow me to the office." With that, Tanaka gestured for Mr. Sakayanagi to follow as he led the way through the White Room's pristine corridors.

As Tanaka spoke, Mr. Sakayanagi turned to us and conveyed that we were free to explore the facility at our leisure. With a nod, he encouraged us to take in the surroundings and experience the White Room firsthand.

Left alone with Arisu, she turned to me with an intrigued glint in her eyes. "Akihito, let's me show you around" she suggested, and I follow after all this is not her first time here.

"Akihito, where do you want to visit first? Do you want to go and watch the other kids here or see how you fare in the educational assessments they have?"

"I'm not sure. You can decide, or if you have a preference, go ahead."

Considering for a moment, Arisu decided, "Let's go and see how you fare in the educational assessments I'm curious to see how you perform in this unique environment." With the choice Arisu made, we strolled down the corridors, heading towards the section where the educational assessments is held.

When we arrived at the designated space for the educational assessments, I approached one of the workers and expressed my interest in taking the tests.

The worker, nodded in acknowledgment and guided me to a quiet corner where the assessments were administered.

As I delved into the questions, I found myself under the watchful gaze of Arisu, who observed me keenly from the sidelines. It didn't bother me, and I redirected my focus to the test at hand.

The tests were designed to gauge not only one's knowledge but also the application of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

However, for me, it turned out to be a child's play. The questions seemed almost elementary, each one I effortlessly answered.

Upon completion, I handed over my answers to the overseeing worker, and the worker assured me that the results would be conveyed in due time.

After the exchange Arisu asked, "How did it go?"

"Just fine, I guess. But it's going to take a while for the results."

With a thoughtful smile, Arisu proposed, "Why not explore the facility while we wait? It's always fascinating to observe the White Room. Shall we?"

"Sure, let's do that."

As Arisu led the way through the corridors of the White Room facility, there was another issue unfolding elsewhere.

Mr. Sakayanagi's POV:

While I was engrossed in a conversation with my friend, a worker approached with a sense of urgency, interrupting our dialogue.

"Mr. Ayanokoji, there's something important that requires your attention."the worker stated, with a hint of astonishment in their tone.

Ayanokoji motioned for them to go on, a signal to continue with whatever they had to say.

"In the ongoing educational assessments, Akihito, the kid that come here with Mr.Sakayanagi, has achieved the same score as Ayanokoji Kiyoko."

Mr. Ayanokoji's eyes narrowed ever so slightly, a rare expression of surprise crossing his face. "That kid... the same score as my daughter? That's impossible. Are you sure there's no mistake?"

The worker affirmed, "I've double-checked the results, sir. It's accurate. The kids performance mirrors Ayanokoji's."

"Keep a close eye on both of them. If Akihito truly matches my daughter's abilities, it warrants further investigation," Mr. Ayanokoji declared, his mind already calculating the implications of this unforeseen development.

As the worker left, Ayanokoji's penetrating gaze fixed upon me, a question lingering in the air. His eyes, usually composed and unreadable, now held a flicker of curiosity mixed with a hint of concern.

"Who is that kid?" he inquired, his voice low but carrying an undertone of intensity. The revelation of Akihito's performance had piqued Ayanokoji's interest, and it was evident he sought more information about the enigmatic child who matched his daughter's academic prowess.

"Akihito Aoki," I replied with a touch of secrecy. "He's a member of the Sakayanagi family, taken under our wing."

"Unfortunately, Akihito Aoki's background is not open for discussion," I continued with a composed demeanor. Ayanokoji's frustration was palpable; his curiosity left unsatisfied, deepening the enigma surrounding Akihito's presence in the Sakayanagi family.

Ayanokoji's eyes narrowed, a subtle undercurrent of displeasure in his gaze. "Sakayanagi, you've always been one to keep your cards close to your chest. However, meddling with the affairs of the White Room and adopting mysterious individuals raises questions. You may have your secrets, but be mindful not to cross lines that may have consequences."

With that, Ayanokoji left the room, leaving a lingering tension in the air.

Akihito POV

As Arisu guided me through the corridors of the White Room facility, we arrived at a communal area visible from an adjacent room. The lively voices of children immersed in diverse activities resonated in the space. Many were engrossed in tests or training sessions, showcasing the multifaceted nature of their educational experiences.

As I observed others struggling with their tasks, my gaze settled on a girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She seemed relaxed, not having a hard time. However, what truly piqued my interest was the uncanny familiarity of her eyes. I tried to remember where I had seen them, and suddenly, it dawned on me where I had seen them before.

They were the same eyes as mine.
