Volume 3- Chapter 26: Not Your Fault

Aaron was waiting inside the commander-in-chief's tent, there was some food in front of him, but his conscience would not allow him to eat. He decided to wait for Linrod and the others and eat with them if they wanted, maybe then he could get a mouthful or two down his throat.

"Commander-in-Chief Aaron, please eat - you haven't eaten in five days," said one of the servants, her sadness evident on her face.

''I apologise,'' Aaron said suddenly.

"I beg your pardon, sir?" said the servant, seemingly not understanding what was going on.

"In a very short time Elysia, who had a good place in our hearts, died because of me, if we had attacked together we could have killed the demon king, but my stupidity caused her to die. Forgive me," Aaron said and lowered his head considerably, unable to look the dwarves in the face.
