BAD NEWS

Helena was tired after her long day at work. She greeted her mom.

'Helena you are back. I wanted to speak to you.' her mom said with a serious expression.

Helena frowned. She pushed back her long black hair and stared at her mom with her deep blue eyes. 'What's wrong mom??' she asked.

'Helena the business hasn't been doing well lately and now I just got a huge order that might change our fate. But...' her mom paused.

'But what mom??' Helena asked

'But I have to go to Switzerland.' her mom replies. Helena squints with displeasure 'Switzerland??? mom isn't that too far??' Helena asked. 'It's just for a year. It will really profit us. We could make at least a profit estimate of 10 million. Till then you will stay with a friend of mine.' her mom says. 'mom!! I am 21. I am pretty sure I can stay by myself.' Helena protests. 'i know you are old enough but I want you to stay at my friend's. I will be at peace. besides my friend stays in New York. And I know you have always wanted to go there' her mom says. Helena widens her eyes in surprise.' you mean NYC! The City of Gods!! which friend is this??' Helena asks. 'Viola Astrovana. My college bestie' her mom replies. ' When exactly are you traveling??' Helena asks. 'in Two weeks. We'll go to the Astrovanas next week. Go to bed now. Spend time with your friends this week.' her mom says. 'Good night mom' 'Good night Helena '

THE NEXT MORNING

Helena woke up quite late. Her mom had already left for work. Helena freshened up had her breakfast and left the house. She entered her bike and went to work.

Later that day, Helena was hurrying to meet up with her friends. She was deep in thought about her life. She did not notice the car coming up the road. Just as the car was about to hit her, the driver swerved and crashed into the road side. She jumped off her bike and hurried to the car. There was a man and his head was bleeding. She took him to the hospital as he was unconscious. After about an hour,the doctor informed her that he was conscious. She went inside and saw it was a young man with honey blonde hair and forest green eyes. ' I'm so sorry. I wasn't really paying attention.' Helena apologized The man looked at her scornfully and said coldly 'I wonder who gave you a driver's license ' Helena frowned. She already apologized why was he been ßo rude. The strange man walked past her and left. She also left to meet her friends.

At the café

A red hair girl beckoned to Helena to come over. Helena walked over to the three people seated.

'Girl you are so late' Beverley says. 'Im sorry guys ' Helena apologized. ' It's okay we forgive you' Orion says.

Orion, Beverley and Jimmy had been her best friends since Kindergarten. At high school, they were called the Ferocious Four. And they had all gone to study medicine at the same college.

Beverley was the wild one, Orion was the playboy, she was the impulsive one while Jimmy was the rational one in their group.

' So what did you want to say to us' Jimmy asked. Helena breathed in ' My mom is going to Switzerland and she wants me to stay at her friend's house in New York city.' Beverley spat out her drink ' New York city!! like The City of Gods!!!' 'whoa I didn't see that çomimg' Orion says. ' When is the trip?? ' Jimmy asked. ' Mom is going to Switzerland in two weeks and I am going to NYC next week ' Helena says.

'So sudden??' Beverley says. Helena downs her drink in a go. 'Hey it's okay. You can visit us and we can visit you. Let's not be sad. Let's just enjoy our time with each other ' Orion says. Beverley raises her glass' cheers to the Ferocious Four ' 'Cheers'.

Just then the manager walks up to them ' Good evening, I might have to ask you to vacate this table ' he says. 'Why?? we paid for the table.' Beverley asks. ' We'll refund your money. in fact we will give you double. someone paid 4 times the price for this table.' the manager replies. ' guys we will take the money and have fun. After all we already ordered our drinks.' Helena says .

'Good thinking miss!' They all turn. Helena sees the boy from earlier. He was dressed casually with dark sunglasses and was with a girl heavily decked in makeup. ' And you are?? ' Beverley asks. 'I booked the table ' The man replies.

Orion takes their refund. Helena whispers to Beverley ' let's teach this guy a lesson ' the both take a drink and empties it on his head. 'Run!!! ' the girls shouts and run away.
