Chapter 12: Constant Worrying

Yaoyorozu's POV

I can't help but let what Todoroki said about the incident, and who might be behind it, linger in my mind. Who were they? Maybe they will strike again, but this time with a bigger audience. It is obvious they don't want just "attention". This could lead to something similar to the USJ incident. We can't afford another one of those.

I throw a random top on, along with some jogging pants. I figured that doing some running would put my mind at ease. It usually does, at least.

I came down the stairs quite eagerly, but I don't quite know why. I really just want some fresh air at the moment, I suppose.

I step outside the dorm room, only to spot a certain someone. I watch as the duo-color haired boy ran a few laps around the empty yard, which was quite massive. Its our very own training area behind the dorms. But the only person who really come here constantly is Midoryia. Sometime a few people wake up early for a morning jog, mostly me and Jirou. But surprisingly, Todoroki never really comes out here. I mean, unless he's stressed.

With my time around Todoroki, I've learned that whenever I can tell Todoroki has something seriously on his mind, he takes his emotions out of the target in combat, or he just overworks himself. Could that be what is going on right now?

I didn't even realize up until now that I have been leaning against the wall watching him tire himself out. I wonder if he's noticed me yet?

"Yaoyorozu-san?" I heard Midoriya's voice from behind. I turn around quickly realizing that there was no need for me to jump like I did.

"Hey, Midoryia.." I say calmly, mustering a small smile to form upon my lips. He smiled back at me.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked me curiously. I pause for a moment, don't tell me he noticed that I was watching Todoroki!

Suddenly Midoryia blurted something out again, "S-s-sorry Yaoyorozu-san! I didn't m-m-mean to pry!" He waved his hand out in front of himself, trying to apologize.

"I-it's fine, don't worry about it. I suppose I just came out here to jog and get out some fresh air. But I just zoned out for a moment, that's all." I answered him calmly.

"O-oh.." Midoryia chuckled to himself quite bitterly. "Hey, is that Todoroki?" He muttered looking out in the distance. Oh, so he didn't notice he was there before, then. I sighed in relief aloud. Though I didn't mean to.

"Uhm, yeah, I think." I answered as if I haven't noticed as if he wasn't there before. "How unusual.."

He nodded, still looking at Todoroki, "Yeah it really is, I mean he never comes out here, I wonder if he's stressed or something. Maybe it has something to do with his family. Probably his father again. Now that I think about it more, that is probably the case. I can tell that his attacks are mostly ice right now. Maybe he's decided to lock up his left side again.." Midoryia went on rambling. But i noticed something about Todoroki having 'family problems'.

"Family?" I accidentally mutter aloud. Midoryia quickly looked at me like he has done something terribly wrong. "M-Midoryia? IS everything okay?" I knew that I wasn't getting something here. Midoryia clearly knew something that I didn't.

"Ah---I've said to much!" he put his hands over his mouth. And unexpectedly, he took off. "Midoryia!" I called out to him. He ignored me and ran back into the dorms.

I look back at Todoroki worriedly. Is there something really going on in Todoroki's family? Stare at him longingly for a moment, and decide to head back inside. I.. I really shouldn't pry into his personal life. That would be wrong with me. I decide to turn back and pretend/try-to-forget that Midoryia ever said anything about. I definately won't approach Todoroki about it, it's not my place.
