13 Chapter 13: Horrifying Assignment

Todoroki's POV

I heard a faint shout from somewhere near the dorms. I wonder if I'm just hearing things. I turn around and sees black ponytail turning the corner.

Yaoyorozu? How long has she been there? I wonder she's the one who shouted. I stop what I'm doing and decide to follow her for some reason?

What am I doing right now? She's probably just going back for the dorms. My mind goes back to my first question. But seriously, how long has she been there? I thought I hear some voices before this but, there was more than one voice.

Was someone out here with her? I follow Yaoyorozu from behind. The slight breeze felt good, due to the fact that I exercised so much in this past hour or two.

I'll ask her about it tomorrow. What time is it anyways? I walk back into the dorm and head back to my room to rest.

next day

"Alright, maggots of 1-A. Today we are going to do some rescue missions. We have some Cementoss here to help us." Aizawa lazily said to us.

Everyone tensed up, waiting for sensei's next instructions for us.

"Here is how this is going to work. "There is going to be multiple teams. They'll be randomly generated. But one person from that team is going to be the one rescued. Cementoss is going to be the one to chose." Aizawa explained in a somewhat orderly fashion .

"Cementoss will also trap the chosen civilian and create a course of obstacles for you. The target will be trapped in a surrounding of damaged building. They are hidden somewhere in the area, but you have a limited time.." Aizawa put a few more details in there.

I look at everyone in the class, and wonder who is going to be only my team. We can't choose our teammates, it's randomly generated. I can tell everyone is secretly dreading the thought of Bakugo being on their team.

After a while the teams where generated. So I have.. Kirishima, Jirou, Sero, Mineta, and.., i wait for the last person to be spun in our team. The peg landed on Yaoyorozu. Huh, I was wondering how I was going to ask her about last night. Weird how things work out.

"Alright, young ladies and gentlemen, time for me to pick the civilian." Cementoss announced. He eyes everyone of us. It felt like he was assessing everyone of our abilities by looks.

He pointed his finger at me. I don't know why, but I felt shocked. I don't k or how I really feel about getting a free grade by just.. sitting there waiting for people to "rescue" me. But, I have to do as Cementoss says.

I nodded my head and walked beside Cementoss. Everyone else seemed shocked that he chose me as well.

"WE JUST LOST THE STRONGEST PERSON ON OUR RESCUE TEAM!!" Mineta screeched in terror. Yaoyorozu gave him a look, and Jirou hit him over the head with her fist.

Cementoss moves on to the next team. It was decided that our team would go first.

"Follow me, Todoroki." Cementoss led me into the concrete city he had created. I looked back at me teamatrs, for some reason they looked terrified for this.
