EMBARRASSED

I ran downstairs.

Ryan was sitting on the sofa wearing a yellow dress. I was very excited seeing her.

"Ryan hi, how did you come here", I asked her.

"Hi Bella, we came for the project", said Ryan.

We hugged each other. It felt so good. I finally had someone to speak to.

"Why is your cheek so red", asked Ryan

"Wha.. wha.. what?" I stammered

"Since when did you start stammering", asked

Ryan

"I ain't stammering", I replied building back some confidence.

At that very moment we hear footsteps.

Both of us turned our gaze towards the source of the noise.

Jake and Charlie were descending down to the living room. I was more flustered looking at Jake and Charlie. Jake continuously stared at me. I was taken aback.

This brief moment of silence between us was broken by Charlie. Ofcourse he couldn't let go of a chance to tease Jake and me too.

"By the way what were you guys doing in there?", asked Charlie.

In return he received a glare from Jake

"What would we do? We were just making some plans for our survey." answered Jake in return.

"Yes that was it", I replied with a profound amount of happiness I got when Jake answered so sharply without an inch of chance of getting suspicion from the duo.

But I guess I was wrong to have judged that. The very next moment I was under his prying eyes.

"But the situation I found you guys in didn't seem like that", said Charlie.

Even before he concluded his reply I was already sweating. Blood rushed all over my face. This time even Jake was rendered speechless. To my surprise even he was completely flustered.

Charlie was very amused by looking at us.

"Of course you guys can take your time and give me the reply of my question",said Charlie.

He was a notorious person. This conversation probably made her very happy.

Thankfully, Albert entered the hall at the same time. He was like a blessing in disguise both for me as well as for Jake.

"Hey charlie, how are you?", asked Albert.

"Hi Albert, I am doing very well. How about you?, asked Charlie in return.

"I am fit and very fine, I came here to inform you guys that the food is ready", said Albert.

"Wow in that case let us indulge in eating then", replied Charlie.

With this everyone started moving towards the dining room. Thankfully the conversation between us was divulged at least for a time being.

The food at the table was laid beautifully. I was damn hungry. After a journey of about 4 hours, both of us had fallen asleep.

By the time we woke up it was already 4 pm and my stomach had already started growling.

In the dining table no one spoke a word. This was probably because everyone was equally hungry. We munched on the food like we were people who were hungry since ages.

I must say that Albert was a fantastic cook.

After we got done with the dinner, all of us got ready to leave for our own respective places of survey.
