AN EASY TASK

Me and Jake got into a jeep and left the house immediately followed by Charlie and Ryan in another jeep. Our places of survey were in the opposite direction.

Inside the jeep there was pin drop silence. No one between us could speak. Both of us were deeply embarrassed.

After a while, we halted finally reaching our destination.

We were supposed to survey at least 10 houses for our report and it was very necessary for us to break our awkwardness.

I took the the charge and spoke first.

"Jake, where do we start from?", I asked him visually surveying the place.

" I suggest we begin from the house ahead of us", came in reply.

" Lets do this then", I told him.

With this we began our survey.

Jake rang the doorbell of the first house to be surveyed.

A women in mid fifty's opened the door.

" Yes, how can i help you", came in reply.

" Ma'am can we take a minute of your time", I asked her.

When we sensed her affirmative body language, we began with our questions from the questionnaire.

It took us about 5 mins to complete one survey.

I had imagined this task to be a lot more difficult, but in reality was quite easy. We took an hour to get done with 10 houses.

After the last house was surveyed, we hi- five"d each other.

I was particularly happy since i could now spend some time with Ryan.

I called Ryan immediately.

" Hey Ryan where are you guys? We have already completed our task",I told her

"Oh wonderful. We are done too. We can chill now", came her reply.

"Yeah, we are heading home. Catch up soon". With that I ended the conversation.

Jake had already started driving. We were not very far from Jake's farmhouse. It was a 30 mins drive.

When we entered the house, Ryan and Charlie were already seated upon the dining table busy munching on sandwiches.
