Chapter Forty-Six: Abandonment issues.

The troops had assembled to analyze facts and see where their plan had gone wrong. They had formulated a plan they hoped would solidify as it developed. And it did, until it didn't.

"We had something guys, now it is as if we have been pegged ten steps backward," Jake said.

The room was melancholic and dull, life-sucking energy pervaded the entire room. Jake intended to fetch beverages for his guests but the strength to do so he could not locate.

"How did we get to this," he further asked.

"That does not matter now," Angela said as she got off the couch and started pacing around, her hand on her head as if she was nursing a headache.

"Are you afraid to tell them about what lover boy did?" Herman remarked.

"Oh shut up Herman. He is more of a man than you will ever be," Angela burst out.

"Man? Are you kidding me? With how he was acting?"

"Yes, he is. Especially down there," she said with her eyes aimed in his groin area.
