Chapter Forty-Five: Shit just became real

"Are we going to have a problem here?" Herman said as he squared up against Terrence.

Terrence possessed the zeal of a dog from the pound on its first hunt. He felt the badge offered him some form of invincibility. 

The world beyond his fantasies however was vastly different. It was brutal and natural selection was the order of the majority of days. Had this not been the case, he probably wouldn't have the job he had right now. But he had it, and it demanded him to seek ways to bring equipoise to the world. If he was to do that for strangers, then why not for the one who currently owned his heart.

"Depends on what your intentions are old man," Terrence replied.

Mouth open, Herman was surprised by what he was seeing and around Terrence cast a glance at Angela who stood submissively behind. She held the key to snuff out any dominance wars between these two people that represented her past and present, perhaps her future too.
