Villagers

Having named the Village, Diedrich looked at the origin again and saw that there was now an option to summon villagers, although it seemed he could only do this once a day.

Eager to try the new feature out Diedrich immediately summoned them.

The cube suddenly pulsed an intense light illuminating the entire room and momentarily blinding Diedrich, when the light receded Diedrich found 8 confused villagers standing around the origin.

There were 5 males and 3 females, each wearing a set of simple brown linen clothes resembling Diedrich's own.

Each of the people seemed to be older than Diedrich, although they still looked to be in their early twenties, they also seemed German or at least European from what Diedrich could tell.

The earlier excitement having worn off and seeing their confused gazes and stares, Diedrich was perplexed about how he should handle this situation.

Deciding to take charge Diedrich announced "Hello, I am Diedrich and am the.... I guess chief of Tarak village, and you all are my subjects? or Residents? anyway's you have been summoned by me to this world that is still unknown to us and I will require your help to build it into a stronghold that will weather us through any storm and protect us from the unknown".

"Any questions?"

All 8 people looked at him strangely and immediately began to voice their inquiries, surprised and unable to properly hear a single one of them Diedrich asked them to be quiet and first asked a girl standing at 1.7 meters tall who had blond hair and hazel nut colored eyes paired with a sportive body, what her question was.

"First of all why would we listen to you? and why don't I remember anything after the trial?"

The rest of the group then immediately chided in seemingly agreeing to what the girl had just said.

Stunned by her directness Diedrich was however more curious about her second question, prompting him to ask them "All of you had joined the trial?".

They each looked at Diedrich, which for some strange reason calmed them down and made them each answer nodding there heads in agreeance.

"Did you all make it to the fifth day of the trial?".

This time they looked at each other strangely and said no.

Diedrich instantaneously felt relieved, this meant that those who died during the trial weren't permanently dead, so even if one his family members died they still had a chance at life.

Feeling more determination, Diedrich's gaze became serious as he looked at each and every one of them "Okay thanks for answering, and to answer your first question of why you should listen to me, well we are currently in a jungle infested with creatures such as boars that could kill you with one strike and chameleon like wolves that can blend in with the surroundings. Furthermore, this is my village and although you don't have to do what I say and you can leave, but to put it bluntly if you don't want to listen then get the F*ck out".

Diedrich saw the weary expression on their faces and then added with a more calm and compassionate tone.

"However if you decide to listen to my orders, unless they are ridiculous then you can stay here, and I promise to help you thrive in this new world that we will build together".

Content with his speech, the people also seemed to calm down and began to consider what they should do, it didn't take long and they all decided to stay. It was not just the strangely charismatic and strange force that compelled them to listen every time Diedrich spoke but also their own rationality, they had all died during the trial and from what they understood trials were supposed to be introductions to something much greater, so if they couldn't even survive the trial what would give them the confidence to survive alone.

Seeing that they all decided to stay Diedrich had a content smile on his face and when one of the men asked him how the village was called he replied with a smirk "Tarak village".

Diedrich then began explaining what little other knowledge he had of this world, such as that he was an elementalist and could summon treants he even brought the treant into the building which he had forgotten outside, seeing a Treant for the first time they looked incredulous at it and became a bit excited as they thought they would have similar abilities.

Diedrich then doused many of their hopes when he told them how they could see their own status.

Surprisingly Diedrich could also see theres even though they couldn't see his or other peoples, Diedrich attributed this to being the one who summoned them.

Diedrich was slightly surprised as there turned out to be 1 rank two, 3 rank ones, and 4 rank zeros. From what Diedrich had gathered there was only a 3% chance of getting a rank 2 and it also turned out to be the blond who had first asked him a question, Diedrich looked closer at her status.

It seems rank 1 did not have professions but Diedrich remembering the system options at the end of the trial recalled that it was only reserved for rank 2 and above, so it made sense.

The other four people who were rank zero had a similar status except for EP and an affinity which they seemed to not have.

Having explained what he knew to them Diedrich said they could go and explore the village as he still needed to do so too.

Even in the building he was currently in called the creation station there was another stone structure other than the origin, this structure was completely black and rested against the wall of the building to the right, walking towards it Diedrich could make out rough looking inscriptions depicting a human wearing amazonian clothes made out of leaves with a spear in one hand.

Diedrich pressed his hand on it.

____________

Item: Warrior stele

Grade: Normal +

Affect: Grants the class [Natures Spear infantry] to citizens of Tarak Village. Current occupants of class 0/15.

____________

Although excited and amazed that he could give people classes Diedrich decided to not be hasty this time, and first explored the tailor shop.

There he found a large table inside the room and another smaller room with shelves where you could store clothes he assumed.

He then explored the storage facility, which was just a small hut with an open space.

Diedrich then walked to the Living quarters which turned out to be the largest structure and was also the only structure with a door. Diedrich found his citizens in there too.

The building's entrance opened up into a living room, that although not considered huge could accommodate 20 or so people, the living room had another entrance into a hallway that was about 7 meters long on both sides of the hallways were 3 rooms making for a total of 6 rooms.

Looking inside the rooms Diedrich saw that they were longer then they were wide but still looked pretty cramped with four straw beds on the ground in each room.

It seemed the girls would take the first room on the left, while the boys would take the third room on the left, while one of the boys as there were five of them would sleep in the third room on the right.

Because the rooms didn't have doors, this was a pretty good solution as it gave the girls the privacy they needed.

At the end of the hallway there was actually another door that lead straight into the biggest bedroom which they had all tactically agreed was for Diedrich.

Having found his living courters and explored the village Diedrich decided he was finally going to use his skill he had never had a chance to use.

"Sapling of life".
