Mission Start

"Ugh, that felt so weird." I said with eyes closed trying to get my bearings.

"Really, I didn't feel anything." I heard a voice with a British accent say.

Opening my eyes to see who spoke I saw someone I'd seen on a screen on multiple occasions. Ashen hair and emerald eyes are her most distinguishing features with a scar on her cheek not taking away from her beauty but rather enhancing it by giving a heroic edge to it.

"Neither did I. I've felt worse if I'm being honest."

Turning to look at the other voice I saw Amelia standing there with a big smile on her face.

"Of course, you're both used to it. Ciri can hop dimensions and teleport and Amelia time travels on the regular." I said finally over the feeling of world hopping.

"Hehe!" laughed Amelia, arm outstretched making a peace sign in my direction.

"Where's the rest of us?" I said, confused as to where the others were.

"Over here, handsome."

Turning to look at who I can only assume is Yoruichi, I see her standing over Guts and Uzui. Both of whom are in a kneeling position looking like they've just puked.

"These two might take a minute to get their bearings." she said crouching down and patting their backs.

"Ughh, I-I'm f-fine. This is n-nothing." Guts stammered while trying to get up.

"Relax, Guts. Dimensional hopping is not something you can get over so quickly. It'll take some time to get used to. Of course, some people never get used to it though." Ciri said clearly experienced.

Almost like magic, the next second Uzui was in tip-top shape.

"HAHAHA! Something like this can't stop me."

"Alright let's try to be a little quiet, we don't know where we are." I said.

"Oops, I completely forgot." said Uzui.

"Let's introduce ourselves now that we're here with each other. I'll go first. Matt Garetty, nice to finally meet everybody."

"Amelia Watson, Hololive's time traveling detective extraordinaire."

"Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, but you can call me Ciri."

"Whoa, you really are a princess huh." chimed in Amelia.

"Yes, she is. I'm Shihouin Yoruichi, just call me Yoruichi."

"Tengen Uzui! The Sound Pillar, Demon killing prodigy, and fashion icon. HAHA!"

"Guts, no last name. Nice to meet you all."

"Aww, aren't you a cutie? Come here." Yoruichi said before burying Guts in a hug at which he froze up. We all laughed at seeing Guts so embarrassed being hugged by Yoruichi.

"All right leave him alone. So how's everyone's training been going? You guys getting used to your new abilities?" I said wanting to gauge where everyone's abilities are.

"Tch, this Ripple thing is a little harder to get used to than I thought. I can use it for short periods of time, but nothing too crazy. Just a little more practice is all I need." said Uzui.

"I've already mastered Ten and Zetsu, but I haven't been able to use Ren yet. But I'm close, I can feel it."

"Whoa, isn't that a little fast Guts? I thought it would take longer than that."

"I think I have some talent in Nen. And the breathing technique that Uzui shared has also been going fine. I can't use it yet, but it won't take me long." said Guts clearly with some pride in his talent in Nen.

"Good job, cutie. As for me, these Six Eyes are way better than I thought. They make my energy expenditure close to zero, not to mention my perception and processing speed have increased as well. I can't wait to try them out properly." said Yoruichi with a smirk on her face.

"Ciri, what about your upgrade? What did you use it on?" asked Amelia.

"I used it on my Elder Blood." she said with a reluctant look on her face.

"Oh, it seems you were reluctant to do so."

"Yes, I was. This blood is the reason for everything that's happened to me, so I have mixed feelings about it. But upgrading it has allowed me to control my jumps and return my ability to wield magic. I think I may be able to jump to any one of your worlds now, as long as I make you an anchor that is. After that, I can jump whenever I want to."

"Whoa." x5

"What about you Amelia?" said Ciri trying to divert attention unto someone else.

"It's been going pretty well. I can make all sorts of modern weapons now, and I think I may be able to make futuristic weapons as long as I know how they work." she said before turning her arms into a very high-spec sniper.

"Cool." I said.

"What about you, Matt? Actually, you never told us what abilities you have besides that character token." said Ciri.

"Oh, I guess you're right. Well, I have telekinesis from encountering an alien and I got a reward that lets me turn my body into tiny machines I can manipulate." I said before showing them by creating my jetpack and then my fists.

"Whoa." x5

"Okay, now that we're all acquainted, the first thing we need to do is find out where we are." I said before taking in our surroundings.

We were dropped in the middle of a forest. All around us we could only see towering trees. The sounds of nature were the only thing keeping us company.

"World pack? What is that?" asked Guts.

"I don't know, but let's find out." I said before going to my Inventory and checking what it was.

"So, the DGC has given us a background in this world. I'm assuming it's nothing grand like an owner of a rich company, but enough to avoid suspicion." said Amelia.

"Okay, let's all open our packs before we move on."

Opening the pack felt like when the OM-1 nanite transferred information to me. I have the same name, but the DGC made me an orphan to settlers that died. Now, my trade involves traveling with the others looking for ways to make money. Almost like an adventurer's party.

"Any useful information about the world we're in?" I asked the others.

"No." x5

"Thought so. I don't think the DGC would make it that easy. Well, there's only one thing to do now, walk."

And so we began to walk into the unknown.
