Chapter 2

Derek POV:

I smirk as my men cheer and laugh as we walk down the busy streets of Sapphire Village. We had just pulled off a major scam and would be living it up for a while. As I walk I notice a large crowd of people up ahead.

"Hey Derek, what do you think is going on?" My second in command asks.

I shrug as we get closer, "I assume it's another Hero fight. People always flock around them." My face twists up in a sneer.

Mother had always taught me that Hero's were really just weak people who followed the rules. Me? I break them.

"Lets watch." I grin as we slip into the crowd

.

I definitely wasn't expecting the sight I found. Black Phoenix was standing in the middle of the crowd with his sword out as a woman smirks at him. She had blazing pink hair and equally bright pink eyes, her suit was white with pink accents, and she held a beautiful gold sword that seemed to shine.

"Awe did that hurt?" Her voice sounded like a small bell as she taunts the man in front of her.

Anyone around would think that this was all fun for her, but I could see under her charade. Her eyes had a small spark of pain in them, and if you weren't paying attention then you would miss how her body tensed slightly.

Phoenix growled at the woman as he lunged and I watch as the two become a blur of motion. Anytime they got close to the crowd, then she would push him back and redirect their movements. I was impressed by how she could be aware of those around her while fighting. Then it suddenly ended. Her body twisted as she grabbed a dagger from her belt and dug it into his thigh.

"Get out of here." She growls, her voice losing the sound of bells and this time sounding demonic.

A shiver ran through me as I grin. This girl was fierce. Then I realize she had let him go. My mind reeled with questions as I watched Phoenix disappear and then the woman turns and runs. Why didn't she capture him when she had the chance? I knew he was the most wanted villain here so why did she let him go.

Then it dawns on me, she was his sister. Stronggirl was her hero name, I knew that much. I also know there's a heavy price on her head back in Sapphire Cove, otherwise known as Villain cove.

I grin as an idea forms and I turn towards the river that separates the two towns, slipping through the shadows to avoid the guards at the gate.

"Whatcha thinking boss?" My men ask as we reach my mansion.

"I'm thinking that I may have a new wife before long boys." I grin wider before turning to them. "I want any and all information on Stronggirl brought to my office. Also send someone out to follow her. I want to know where she lives, where she hangs out, who are her friends, weaknesses, and her secret identity."

I turn back and walk to my room as they rush to obey, peeling off my shirt as I grab another from my wardrobe. My bedroom door opens and shuts quietly, making me groan to myself as I turn around.

"Makayla... what are you doing here?" I frown as I look at the scantily clad woman in front of me.

She wore a white crop top that might as well be wet because you could see right through it, and denim short shorts that barely covered her butt.

"I was looking for you baby!" She purrs as she wraps her arms around my neck.

I hold her away from my body, but don't make an attempt to unwrap her arms as I raise an eyebrow at her.

"I told you before, you and me were only sexual... nothing else. I'm really not in the mood for this 'Kayla." I say as I unwrap her arms and remove her from me.

I'd used her before but now that I've got my eyes on Stronggirl... She just seems like trash to me now. Sounds silly to believe in love at first sight, but the woman I watched fight today had me starting to believe it. Watching her made me feel things that I have never felt before and I wanted to explore this. If nothing else, I can always give her to her brother after I'm done with her.

I grin to myself as I leave a confused, and distraught Makayla in my room and go down to my office. Time to learn more about my future wife.

6 months later

"Got the stuff I asked for?" I grin as I look at my pleased head scientist.

In the last 6 months I've learned that my darling girl was a loner, she stayed near the academy most of the time and only left to go to her home on the weekends. Then she stayed there until Monday when she got up bright and early before heading back to the academy. Her secret identity was Eclipse Silver and her Best Friend/adopted brother was the leader of the Academy, Gale Silver.

"Yes sir! We have a powder form and liquid form of dry ice all ready for you. Dust the powder in her house and as soon as it touches her, she will become confused and unable to react quickly. All you have to do is give her one of these shots and she's out like a light. We also created a liquid form. Place it on a rag and hold it to her nose. This is just in case you can't inject her." He grins widely as I pat his back.

I had learned that she had a weakness to Dry Ice. Her powers have two base powers that she draws her strength from, water and Darkness, and the chemical components in the Dry Ice reacted with her natural water abilities.

I grin happily as I make my way to my office to make one last phone call.

"What is it?" Phoenix's grouchy voice floats over my phone as I lean back in my chair.

"My king... I have a proposition for you." I grin as he pauses for a moment.

"I'm listening."

"I will capture your dear sister if you allow me to bring her to my home and marry her. I can keep her here and miserable for you and then, if I get bored, I can bring her to you."

The line is silent before I hear a low chuckle. "If you can capture my elusive twin... Then you have yourself a deal."

"Excellent.. should I invite you to the wedding?"

He howls with laughter. "No... but I wish to see the video once you're done. I'll even pay for the the décor."

"You are too kind sir." I smile as he hangs up and then I stand and laugh. "Ready or not, my love, here I come."
