Shadow Doppelganger And Phantom Step

[Shadow Doppelganger]

[The user can Create a temporary clone or decoy made of shadows]

"This might sound simple. And it surely is especially for the level you are in right now." Xentor said. "All you have to do is connect with your own body."

"In this case you wouldn't use the Shadow you have on the floor, but form your own shadow using your own body."

"To do that you would have to vibrate your body and Shadow slightly. So that both of them would mix together and then it would be formed." Xentor concluded.

As expected it was easier for Miller. He was able to connect with his own Shadow. Due to his vibrating here and there. He was finding it hard to concentrate. Until finally, out out is body, something left.

What left was totally made of darkness and it stood in front of Miller. Like it had it's own consciousness. What surprised Miller the most was when it bowed down.

"Don't get confused, it's just a clone of you." Xentor said trying to clarify Miller's confusion. "As you know it sometimes you wouldn't be near to protect your friends and family. That could be the work of your Clone. It has all the Shadow Skills you have and as long as you have already created a clone Successfully any skill, he makes would not deduct your Shadow Points further."

"The downside is unlike you. There attacks are still very effective in Day and in Night. The more they perform a Shadow Skill. The likely they would turn to nothing."

"If your Clone is attacked, it wouldn't affect you personally. As your life force aren't connected at all. It is just your Doppelganger." Xentor said again.

"Wow." Miller said.

"Let me show you how helpful it is." As Xentor said those words. Instantly a Beasts appeared from the ground and charged towards them at lightning speed. Before Miller could react, his Shadow Doppelganger had already stepped in front of the beast. And as the Rhino looking beast touched The Shadow it immediately slowed down without it's control.

'That's Temporal Stagnation.' Miller thought with a smile.

"You like it." Xentor said.

"Yes. I love it." Miller replied.

"Now, let's move on to the next skill: Phantom Step." Xentor said.

[Phantom Step]

[The user can Temporarily phase through solid objects by merging with their shadows]

Miller was eager to learn the next skill, Phantom Step, after witnessing the effectiveness of Shadow Doppelganger. Xentor, always ready to guide him, began explaining the mechanics of this new ability.

"Phantom Step allows you to merge with your shadow and temporarily phase through solid objects," Xentor explained. "It's incredibly useful for sneaking, evading, or surprising opponents. To begin, you must mentally connect with your shadow, just like you did before."

Miller closed his eyes and focused, connecting with his shadow. It seemed to become more fluid, as if ready to take on a new form.

"Now," Xentor continued, "imagine yourself merging with your shadow, becoming one with it."

As Miller visualized this concept, his shadow began to shift and ripple. It started to extend outward, connecting with the ground and forming a pool of darkness.

"You're doing great," Xentor encouraged. "Now, imagine moving through a nearby solid object, like that rock over there."

Miller opened his eyes, still connected to his shadow, and focused on the large rock a few feet away. With determination, he willed himself to move through it. To his surprise, he began to phase through the solid mass. It was like walking through water, with a strange sensation of both solidity and liquidity.

As he emerged on the other side, he grinned. "This is amazing!"

Xentor nodded. "Phantom Step can be a game-changer in many situations. However, remember that you can't use it continuously. It consumes shadow points, and if you run out, you'll return to your solid form. The more solid objects you phase through, the more shadow points you'll use. Keep that in mind."

Miller was already feeling a sense of empowerment, knowing that he could now move through solid objects when needed. The possibilities seemed endless.

"Now," Xentor said, "practice it a few more times until you're comfortable with the sensation. We'll move on to the next skill soon."

With newfound excitement, Miller continued to experiment with Phantom Step, phasing through rocks, trees, and even the occasional beast that Xentor summoned for practice. The feeling of merging with his shadow and becoming ethereal was exhilarating.

As he honed this skill, he couldn't help but wonder what the other skill would look like. Each new skill brought him closer to his goal of rescuing Emily and confronting the challenges that awaited him in the real world.

'These skills are surely going to make me stronger,' Miller thought excitedly.

"Perfect." Xentor said. "You have mastered it. So which skill would you like to learn next?"

"You have Shadow Tracker, Shadow Blink and Shadow Travel." Xentor concluded. "So which one?" He asked.

"Let's learn all the three one by one as you have mentioned them." Miller said.

"So be it." Xentor replied.
