Choose A Reward

Miller was now in his room with his roommates. It was now night time, around 8PM. Two hours before the curfew. Watson refrained from telling the truth due to Catherine's magic. This was just a friendly reminder that she is a good magician.

Miller was now on his bed quietly as he almost slept off.

"Hey, Miller." Watson tapped Miller to wake up. "It's almost time."

Miller, not wanting to hide it from his roommates, told them about what the System had commanded. The new quest he received. They had already decided how they would do it. Miller told them that with just a single touch, his brain would process this information immediately.

The mutants didn't leave the school immediately. They needed to rest and leave tomorrow as for the Bradley Stones and his men. They wouldn't leave at least until they have found who is causing death within the School.

Miller stood up trying to remove sleep away from his eyes. The trio planned on leaving the room around 9:30PM, by that time students wouldn't be much outside and after that single touch on her forehead, Miller and Alex could carry Watson and use their super speed to leave immediately.

The two Chuckled as they saw Miller feeling sleepy as he was standing. The System also noticed this and decided to talk to Miller. Besides, the System needed this information the most.

"Miller, you haven't selected your rewards yet." The SYSTEM said.

Miller had planned to choose his reward later. He saw it as a surprise package and didn't want to open it any time soon. But due to how the System had been disturbing him about opening he finally decided to.

"Okay. Show me." Miller Commanded.

Green words popped at his retina:

[INSTINCTIVE COMBAT SKILL LEVEL UP, Inspect Level Up, Insight Level Up]

"Wow." Miller said it out loud to both Alex and Watson's hearing.

The two of them looked at Miller confused, but as he pointed his head. They knew it was going to be the System.

"System, can you make my friends see this thing too." Miller said. "I am really confused. Because I don't know which one to pick."

"Okay." The System said. "But promise me, you would find out Information about Kalzifrax."

Miller didn't understand why the System was so Interested in Kalzifrax. But he just say. "Yes."

In an instant, an holographic green screen appeared at where Miller was looking at. He looked at the wall and just like how he saw the Shop. He could see everything like a Television and both his roommates could see it too.

"Wow." Watson said astonished.

The green screen was connected to Miller's eyes, and if he looked away, the images would move away.

Alex also stood and looked at it with amazements.

Miller then went on to explain to them how the situation was. How he had received a Quest long ago and the reward was three to select one out of the three. So, he actually needed their thoughts on this.

"I think you should go for INSTINCTIVE COMBAT SKILL." Watson said. "You really need to work on your fight skills and look that section also has an inspect skill level up and an insight skill level up. You need to be a formidable opponent in the battlefield." Watson ended that sentence clenched his wrist and raising his right hand which was clenched and touched his biceps, which wasn't even visible. It just looked like he touched fat.

"You really need to work out" Alex said.

Miller and Alex laughed at that statement. Alex didn't need to work out as a Vampire; his body would naturally burn fat rapidly. As for Miller, he seems to be getting more muscular with each Level Up.

"So. Miller what do you think about that section. Would you select it?" WATSON asked.

"hmm..." Miller hadn't replied before Alex chimed in.

"You can select the Instant Level Up." Alex said.

"No. That's the last one on my mind." Miller said. "My experience points required to enter the next level is low. So gaining an instant Level up when my required Experience points is just 1,600 is stupid."

Miller was contemplating. Which was to select and to be honest. He really wanted to get more Shadow Skills. Since they are up to fifty different skills. He has a lot of way to go and besides, he really wants to unlock that Skill worth One Hundred Million Coins known by the name Shadow Demon.

He knew that would be the Strongest skill of the Shadow because of the high price. The System said random so they would shuffle and he would just get maybe any shadow skill, looking at what Watson had said wasn't a bad idea either. He really needs to work on his INSTINCTIVE COMBAT SKILL.

"Brandon is a Mutant." Miller said.

"What the..." Watson almost shouted, lucky Alex was able to cover up his mouth in time.

"He has an ability called the Future Perception. He can perceive the future." Miller said and started to explain how they fought in the Second Year Martial Arts room.

"His power has a weakness and that is my Shadow Ability." Miller said. "He wouldn't be able to detect shadow and so gives me an edge in battle."

"If I want to protect you guys. I really need those skills." Miller said.

Alex chuckled at the last sentence. "Protect, I am a Vampire dude." Alex said as he gave him a little tap on the shoulder.

"What if I remove your eclipse ring when you are out in the sun." Miller said dead seriously.

For a second, Alex's heartbeat increased greatly, and through Miller's hearing. Unknown to Miller, this was one Ability, he had through his Summoning Pact, able to install fear in his minions even when his Summoning Pact is not activated.

"Come on dude. You Wouldn't do that." Alex said smiling and the three chuckled in the room.

Alex on the other hand, had one fear in his mind:

'Why am I so scared of him all of a Sudden.'

"Okay. System." Miller said. "I pick the second one."

The last one was the one, Miller also wanted to have. It was Shadow Devourer and according to the System. He needs that one most importantly. Although, he didn't have the Shadow Demon skill, he is still happy with the one he has.

Why is the Shadow Devourer so important?
