A King's Worry

All the leaders of the Vampire Settlement were called for a meeting and that included the King; himself.

They had all arrived and finally the king had come too and was now sitting on his chair.

The room was vast and imposing, the walls lined with tapestries depicting scenes of great battles and heroic deeds. The ceiling soared high above their heads, and the stone floor was cool and smooth beneath their feet. The chairs around the long, wooden table were made of dark wood, with plush red cushions for comfort. A massive chandelier hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the room.

Despite the opulent surroundings, the mood in the room was somber. The leaders of the Vampire Settlement sat around the table, their faces gravely and their eyes filled with worry.

"You may speak." One of the royal guards who was standing by the king's right hand spoke.

"Yes, your lord." The person who had replied was Gary.

Gary was the one in charge with all the academy that were sent to Fort Valor Military Academy and he had just gotten an important message from Arthur. Immediately he was ready to inform the Vampires, so he called for an immediate meeting.

"I have received some very troubling news from our student, Arthur," Gary said, his voice grave and solemn. "He and two others were attacked by a mysterious figure, who claims to be a Dhampir."

The room fell silent as the news sank in. The Vampires knew that a Dhampir was a person with both human and vampire traits, making them incredibly dangerous. If there was one here, in their very midst, it could spell disaster.

"How can we be sure this information is reliable?" one of the leaders asked.

"I can understand your skepticism," Gary said, "but Arthur is an honorable young man, and I trust his word. He would not have come to me with this news unless he was absolutely certain of what he had seen and heard. I know him to be a man of integrity, and I believe his report to be accurate."

There was a murmur of agreement around the table, and the mood of the room shifted from skepticism to concern. The leaders were now faced with a very serious threat, and they needed to take action.

"I thought we killed all the Dhampir's." A leader said with concern. "Where did that one come from or who made him or her." The leader concluded as he looked at every one of them dead in the eye. This leader's name is Freya. She is one of the female leaders in the vampires settlement.

"Freya, are you insane?" A leader named Maxwell snapped, his voice shaking with anger. "Why would you even suggest that someone would create a Dhampir? We all know the terrible things they've done, the lives they've taken. It's irresponsible to even suggest that someone would do such a thing!"

Maxwell's words struck a chord with the others, and they all began to speak at once, voices raised in anger and fear. It was clear that they were all on edge, and the news of the Dhampir's presence had sent them into a state of panic.

While they were all arguing giving no room for the other leader to talk. One person was in deep thoughts. It was the King. The words Maxwell had said made him realize what he had done. The King knew he had done a grevious mistake when he let a Dhampir to live. How could he? He couldn't kill his own daughter.

'My daughter is in Fort Valor Military Academy.' The King thought. 'She is also a Dhampir. Is she the one.'

"Silence." One of the guards shouted at the leaders.

The king also because of the shout escaped from that thought. He believed that his daughter couldn't do such. Even if she was a Dhampir, it didn't necessarily mean that their might not be other Dhampir's at the school secretly. Even if he wasn't even close to his daughter. He at least knew that she wasn't capable of such a thing.

Everyone in the room was silent and was waiting for the King to speak.

"Gary go on with what you were going to say." The king said.

Gary stood up again and with a loud voice. He said. "The Dhampir that attacked them gave them this message, he told them that Arthur should inform us that..."

He paused for a while because he knew what this meant. The words would make everyone in the room scared in an instant.

"The Dhampir gave them this message." Gary said. "He said we should know that the Dhampirs are coming."
