4 Chapter 4- Beginning of training

Alice clapped her hands to wake Sam who was in a trance from listening to the story.

"for now let's get you stronger so that we can go to the city that the king of hell is residing in"

"wait.. can't we just fly to there"

" have you been listening to what I had told you I can't reveal my powers although his majesty the king is residing in this planet he won't give a damn about creatures under the demi-god realm we'll just get killed if we try flying there"

"o..ok I so how do I get stronger"

"first you will start with absorbing the vital energy in the surroundings after you boost your strength a little we'll try killing something"

"how do I feel this vital energy??"

"sigh… I just feel your surroundings and you should sense it the pendant that your wearing on your neck should help you sense it"

"eehh… a pendant" said Sam surprised when did I wear this thought Sam while touching the pendant, it was a black diamond covered in silver,'wow if I had this back at earth I could have sold it and paid my college bills without having to sell my body to those grammas' he thought, while having shivers remembering his black history.

"I put that pendant on your body so that your body will adapt faster to this planets harsh conditions I think you'll have to wear it for about 6 months, and yeah if you had sold something like back at your planet you wouldn't have had to sell your body"

"6 months huh...wait how did you know what I was thinking" asked sam freaking out.

"I can thanks to the soul-bond I can feel your emotions as well as read your thoughts we're basically connected until we die" she said with a poker face, until she realised that sam had face so red that blood seemed to nearly drip blood realising what she said she blushed.

feeling the atmosphere becoming akward sam started speaking.

"cough….cough….so why can't I read your thoughts?"

"uhh...th..that's because the power difference between us is large so I can block you from reading them, anyway back to the main topic why don't you try sensing vital energy"

"ahh...right"

Sam started trying to sense his surroundings, it was a really strange feeling he could feel everything in the area around him, well 5 meters around him to be exact, he could feel everything every movement even the air, everything seemed within his grasp.

"I can feel it, that vital energy you talked about"

"you could actually feel it from your first time no wonder you have been chosen"alice mumbled.

"now imagine that your absorbing it into your body"

sam imagined that he was absorbing the vital energy into his body, and after a few minutes of trying he started feeling a weird substance entering through the pores of his body, it was a strange feeling thought sam.

"now that vital energy is entering your body try controlling it using your will and move it throughout your body"

sam followed alice's instructions moving the vital energy throughout his entire body at first he did not feel any change but after doing it for a about two hours he started feeling his every cell brimming with energy he felt so energetic like never before that's when a notification appeared before his eyes

"you have gained 1 vital energy"

"eeeeh… absorbing vital energy for about 1 hour and I only got 1 vital energy"

" I already told you this planet has thin vital energy"

" if it has thin vital energy how did it's creatures become so powerful it doesn't make any sense"

"it's because they can sense vital energy through a wide range of space, from what I felt you can sense vital energy through a range of 5 meters for a level one you have supreme talent but compared to those beasts your talent is comparable to shit, for example a level one hell beast can sense vital energy in a range of 10 meters and that's the lowest talent for those hell beasts I even heard a rumor that there are level one hell beasts that can sense vital energy in a range of 1 kilometer add to that their terrifying physical strength I can't imagine how such creatures can be killed"

'fuck how am I supposed to live in this place' thought sam depressed ' I'm definitely gonna die'.

"don't lose hope just resume absorbing vital energy and you'll get stronger eventually"
