New Task

"Why do you like to sit in a crowded place like this?" Melody complained before snorting in disgust. Her father likes to see humans and Melody never understands why. It's annoying to sit in the same room with so many humans and don't ignore their noise. Melody didn't feel comfortable, but her father forced her to sit there.

The man he was talking to just smiled gently, thinking he didn't have to answer the question Melody repeated every time they ate together.

"Could it be?" The sound that came out of Castelia's mouth was so low that Maddie couldn't hear it but what was Castelia truly worried about? Joshua knows the truth and is mad with her or Joshua finds out and get hurt?

The fact that Joshua ignored Castelia for a week should be enough to say Castelia is fine without Joshua. Still, Castelia is never content without an answer when it comes to Joshua.

It felt like Castelia wanted to come closer and ask or even apologize if Joshua was disappointed but for what? All of those things were unnecessary because Joshua wouldn't even care. Surely Castelia wouldn't think the man cared, would she?

Unfortunately, Castelia did it and with that, even Castelia herself could no longer understand how crazy she was for Joshua.

"I can't stand to see this." Maddie couldn't hold herself back anymore, she suddenly got up from her seat and approached Melody's table when she saw a waitress coming with some dishes on a tray. Maddie was walking fast before Castelia even had a chance to call and she bumped into the waitress, causing all the food in her hands to fall onto the table Melody was using.

That attitude managed to surprise everyone, even Castelia, causing everyone on the table to rush to their feet to avoid spilling from the edge of the table. "Oh my, I'm sorry!" Maddie said, immediately putting on a guilty expression. "I slipped. I'm truly sorry!"

"Slipped?!" Melody's emotions explode when she realizes that it was Maddie who messed up the dinner with her family. "I'm sure you did it on purpose!"

"Stop it, Melody," said Melody's father who didn't want the problem to get bigger. "She said she didn't mean to."

"But Dad!" Melody's voice rose, clearly not accepting that her father was defending her.

"I am really, really sorry! I'm sorry, please," Maddie said, bowing politely.

"Don't worry about this," said the dashing man. "You should be more careful next time," he rebuked.

"I will. Thank you for being so kind, Sir," Maddie replied quietly. Before walking away, Maddie secretly looked at Melody and gave her a mocking smile. She also looked at Joshua and left with a proud and satisfied heart.

When Castelia saw her friend approaching, she couldn't help but shake her head. "You are crazy." Finally, Castelia said something and fell silent again after that.

"Let's go, I need some enjoyment," said Maddie, she grabbed Castelia's arm and led her out of the restaurant. "I don't want to see them. They annoy me." Just interrupting a meal isn't fun but what can Maddie do? They are rich people. Fortunately Melody's father is a forgiving and not arrogant figure like her.

Maddie didn't initially prepare for the terrible possibility of being tortured but called herself lucky. "Wait a minute," said Maddie, who hadn't made it past the exit. She was stopped by a vibrating phone from her trouser pocket.

Unknown number, Maddie picked up the call and spoke to her for about two minutes. After the call ended, she looked at the waiting Castelia and said, "New client."

Maddie's smile appeared and turned bright, telling how happy she was. Eventually they would receive the money after a week of doing nothing but hiding. "Come on," she said.

Castelia and Maddie walked out of the restaurant together, unaware that Joshua glanced over for a few seconds.

While the maids help Melody and her family change seats, Castelia and Maddie head off to meet their new client. The task this time was not difficult, they were only asked to ruin a woman—the client's husband's mistress and humiliate her in public. Plus, make sure he's fired from her job.

Since it was already night, they couldn't do the first task: humiliate the target. So they're going to do something else which is to find a way to get her fired, and their first place is the woman's house.

Secretly break into the entrance and know that the target is doing something hot in the room with someone else's husband. Maddie was secretly taking lots of photos without them noticing and smiling amusedly.

The afternoon arrived just like that, at noon or lunch hour. "I heard she really loves her job here," commented Castelia after arriving at a tall building. They looked up and surveyed the elite building for a while.

"She is an assistant to a CEO. The salary is quite high and the CEO is well known. I understand why she likes her job," said Maddie.

Castelia and Maddie didn't have to wait long because the target had left the entrance. Coincidentally she wasn't alone, Maddie and Castelia saw a black car pick her up. The woman smiled before entering the vehicle.

"Come on," said Castelia and they went on their motorbikes to catch up. Their stop was a café located ten minutes from the elite building. The two targets sat at the table in the corner to avoid too many pairs of eyes.

"Tsk! Still too brave for them to eat in public," commented Maddie.

Maddie and Castelia came over, sitting beside them without permission. "Hi, could this be you?" Maddie asked mockingly while showing the photo on the screen of her phone.

The photo she took last night showed the two people beside her having sex. The picture that clearly showed their faces impossibly failed to surprise, making them widen their eyes. But before anyone could speak, Maddie added, "I sent over ten photos and a flash drive containing the two of you together to some of the people you work for and you know what would happen if they received the package?"

The uproar was unavoidable, moreover and that was for sure, the girl would be in trouble.

Maddie had someone do it before she got to the building. She glanced at the clock and added, "Twelve o'clock sharp, I wonder who will see it first."

The target is too shocked even to have time to question who Maddie is or why she did it. She got up, anxious to know that Maddie was either bragging or really doing it. No, she shouldn't have hesitated because the photo on Maddie's phone was proof enough.

"Move!" The target force to pass Maddie who was blocking her way. She made it through, but Maddie didn't let her go easily. Maddie reached out her leg and nudged the woman before she could leave. As a result, the target fell with her face hitting the floor first.

The loud sound that was created managed to grab everyone's attention and make them stare. Maddie got up from her seat, took a drink from the table before looking at the woman trying to get up, saying, "I always wonder, is it so nice to sleep with a married man? Why do you like doing it so much?"
