Chapter 12

Morning did not exactly go how he had been hoping.

Darian woke up at the crack of dawn, his inner clock waking him up at the usual time he always got up but he winked open an eye to find Jaxon still wrapped around him

So that hadn't been a hazy dream?

Well, he couldn't exactly wake Jaxon up, especially not by taking away his arms which were wrapped snugly around the redhead's waist.

It wasn't like he had to patrol that morning too, it was Leon's turn to be on duty so he was free to sleep in as long as he wanted.

It didn't take much for Darian to convince himself to go back to sleep, especially with the sleeping temptation in his arms.

He woke up to a shock. Literally.

Sunlight streamed in so that meant that dawn had happened a while ago and from his new spot on the ground, he looked up to see Leon glaring down at him with an almost hateful look in his electric blue eyes.

"Leo? Did you just tase me?" He asked in disbelief, the shock from the still crackling taser held firmly in Leon's hand immobilising his body.

So he could only lay on the ground and hoped that his body recovered fast enough.

"No?" Leon muttered without remorse, carelessly hiding the taser behind his back to slip it in his back pocket and then make for the bed.

"Leon! Don't you fucking dare…" He started to say but naturally, the fucking tatted were just ignored him.

With burning anger, he watched Leon carefully lift Jaxon up and make out with him, he had to give him kudos for managing that without waking him up.

Even though it read as childish, Leon stealing Jaxon from him was tripping his more basal instincts but he couldn't fucking move because the nerves in his left leg were fried.

He would just have to wait it out, then he would go for Leo's throat.

Leon was already well on his way, a sleeping Jaxon gently cradled in his arms as he easily and quietly carried him through the empty hallways.

Ian came out of his apartment just as Leon went past and the phone he held in his left hand tumbled to the floor as caught a glimpse of them.

Was that Leon hurrying away with a sleeping Jaxon?

He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, but he could tell his twin from any distance and direction and there was no missing Jaxon's red hair.

What the fuck?

He did not realise how long he stood there, frozen and gaping until someone went past his field of vision and he snapped into focus to see Darian dashing down the hallway, evidently going after Leon.

Oh shit!

Ian cursed, he had no clue what was going on but it would definitely not turn out good.

Picking up his phone, he made away in the opposite direction, there was only one person who could actually put an end to whatever was definitely about to go down.

Alpha Virgil.

Well, he has had to report worse things to his brother before, hopefully he got to Virgil before someone ended up dead in Leon's apartment.

He knocked on the door to Virgil's office, pushing in to find Virgil frowning at his phone.

Ian leaned on the door after closing it behind him. "Let me guess, you're looking for Jaxie."

Virgil's frown increased at this, slowly dropping the deskphone. It was a surprise to come in and not find Jaxon at his desk, he wasn't worried though, if by some miracle Jaxon had managed to sleep in, he would be all too happy to give him the entire fucking week off if he wanted but this… what the fuck was all this?

"I don't like the sound of that." Virgil muttered, already getting up. "Alright, where is he?" He asked, pushing a hand through his white-gold hair.

"Leon ran past with him and moments later Darian, I'll make a wild guess and say that they're probably fighting in Leon's apartment."

Virgil was already cursing and making his way out before Ian could even get all of his words out.

"I better go along." Ian muttered to himself, going after Virgil. "Before someone ends up dead for real."

They got to Leon's apartment and Virgil threw open the door impatiently, gaping at the sight before him.

Darian had Leon in a choke hold right on the floor of the living room, the both of them frozen in place.

A moment of silence enveloped the entire apartment as Jaxon squirmed slightly from the mountains of blankets and pillows that he had been placed in on the couch.

As soon as he went back to sleep, Leon silently flipped Darian over, kneeling on his spine and twisting his hands behind his back.

Virgil just stood at the doorway at a loss for words, somehow, the two morons he had protecting the entire Pack had been silently fighting to not wake Jaxon up.

Well, he could give them medals for putting their priorities right but he had to put an end to all this.

"Enough of this." He whispered walking in, he wasn't looking at where he was going though and bumped into a side table.

Immediately, they all froze again, waiting and hoping that Jaxon would not wake up.

Virgil sighed in relief when his Head Beta went right back to sleep.

"Get the fuck up, both of you." He whispered furiously to them, watching where he was going this time.

Ian just watched from the doorway, bringing out his phone, there was no way he wasn't getting a video of this.

When they both did, still silently glaring at each other, Virgil placed a heavy hand at the juncture where their necks met their shoulders, a vein ticking on his head.

"That's it, you're both grounded from Jax for two days." He muttered to them, gripping them far too tightly to be comfortable but they had to remain quiet so there was no noise from them.

"Really…" Virgil muttered to himself, going to carry Jaxon. "It's like two kids fighting over their favourite toy…" He continued complaining, carefully making his way out with a still fast asleep Jaxon.

If it were anyone else, he would have paid no mind to the fact that they were still asleep but with Jaxon, it was downright terrifying.
