Chase

They could see their target after so many difficulties its already there for them to hunt.

'I want it alive' sendet out her thoughts Nefertiri to the others.

They went to action when they already saw the target. The creature started to run from them. It didn't want to be a testing lab rat again.

The whole situation looked like a game of chase they didn't even get the chance to touch this weird being that looked somehow like a plant. The skin was glowing like a green jade under the setting sun and the yellow eyes were looking at the surrounding with determination.

Ruby was observing her pray waiting for the right moment but she didn't want to play any longer so she moved to attack the poor man that was experimented on. He could just try to fight back and so he did. Ruby didn't back away when the green man attacked back she defended herself with her both daggers and smirked cockily. She didn't have fun in a long time just bickering with Nefertiri wasn't enough. Ruby started to attack again without retaliating the poor thing was already wounded and the wounds looked weird it was as if he was made from wood. But she didn't think about it even if she hurts him a little if he's alive everything is fine right.

"Ruby! Be more careful!" Cecile yelled at her mad when she found her fighting with they guy.

"But as long as he's alive everything should be good!" The man looked at her curiously. He lost the ability to talk but if he could he would ask them what's going on.

"I don't like it either."

"Of course you don't. You would want to call the shots." Responded Ruby.

"If you think so." Cecile was still hiding the truth.

"Cecile you don't have to lie to me I know you pretty well I think."

"Yeah, yeah. Just catch him already." Cecile was getting annoyed.

"Whatever." Ruby was already unhappy with Cecile but she needed to catch him.

She did what she was supposed to do and the creature didn't even fight back anymore. It was futile anyway and he still wants to live a little longer. In the future there is going to present itself a new opportunity so he didn't need to worry.

How did they get separated was a good question but why didn't they found them themselves again. They were trying to find the others and when they already saw Misha with Nefertiri they felt relieved but then they noticed that something was really wrong. Misha was trying to help Nefertiri to stand but she couldn't hold it in anymore and she felt the blood in her mouth. It trickles down her chin but to swallow it back was a really bad idea. This blood was dirty with impurities from her body so it tried to find its way outside. She needed Zidite she knew that the blood in her veins was changing to her fathers. This was bad. No one knew what is happening to her they were worried. Cecile tried to help her but didn't know how to do it. She thought that it was Mishas fault. Her best friend was hurt and she didn't know what happened. Cecile was aware that they were growing apart but she knew that this should be happening after they characters clashed. She still hoped to recuperate the friendship they had.

"Misha, take Nefertiri we need to find Scar and get out of here." She didn't want to wait longer in the case of her friends condition to worsen.

After some turns they found Scar and she looked really weird. Her eyes were empty but then they got their liveness back.

"Guys what's happening?" She asked after she realized something went really wrong when seeing Nefertiri. She herself discovered something really disturbing.

"Nefertiri kind of collapsed." Explained Misha looking at the white haired girl with her closed eyes.

"Why didn't you do anything?!" Scar jumped to him wanting to hit him but stopped thinking about her friend in his arms.

"It happened really fast. She didn't fight with the green guy. She just kind of felt in pain, she was seating profusely and then spit out blood." He explained.

"Weeelll isn't this great?" Asked Ruby using as much sarcasm as she could.

"Let's go." Said Cecile.

In the mean time Zidite didn't look better that Nefertiri but he tried to stay awake even if his eyelids felt heavy. His eyes were bleeding at first as if to see more and his ears felt as if they got some weird update. Then the voices started he could hear Nefertiri between them. So this was her reality. It was really noisy and he didn't know if he could live like that. Maybe with some time. He needed her in his arms even if he was sitting right now to keep his energy when he saw them getting out of the labyrinth he got up as fast as lightning and went to talk his wife from the embrace of another man. He didn't like it but he was the only one with enough strength to carry her.

He got his wife in his arms and he took her away some steps and had to sit down himself feeling tired out.

"Hey little fox it's time to wake up." She stirred a little bit. Zidite knew that he was her rock and she was his but this couldn't continue like this.
