WITTY OLD MAN OR PERVERT BLIND MAN

Alex fisted his hand but he pretended to be ok with it. He looked for his cane and left the room. It would soon be lunchtime. The maids had prepared the food and settled them beautifully on the dining table and left the room for the family.

Elder Su was very happy to finally have a complete family. The only people that remained were his elder son and daughter-in-law who had been gone for their honeymoon. His eldest grandson was also not there. But when the time came, they would all gather as well.

"Father, you aren't having your food" Frank, Elder Su's second son asked in worry. The Old Man waved his hand "I am waiting for my granddaughter-in-law"

Gloria looked up as she saw her big brother descending the stairs but her sister-in-law wasn't with him. Feeling suspicious, she asked, "Brother, where's sister-in-law?"

Alex heard her question but didn't care to reply. He went to his seat and sat on it.

Curtly, he said "She won't be coming down...just have your food" He took his cane to his side and searched for his plate. He took hold of his chopstick to pick rice and meat. Everyone's eyes were on him as they noticed he was in a bad mood. Elder Su glanced at him and sighed.

'She will come around'

Meanwhile, inside her room. May looked at the wall blankly.

Her memories of Xavier resurfaced in her head. She remembered her last promise to him.

'I will be someone great who wouldn't need her father's help or anyone's and will get you'

Could she still get him and be with him after being married to someone else? Could she still fulfil her promise?

Her eyes blinked confidently. She could still do that. Being a wife didn't mean she would stop her wish from coming through. When I become great, I will divorce that man and come back home to you. Marrying him is not a death sentence anyway. She would make sure she became great fast to be with her brother Xavier.

She would see who would stop her. That witty Old Man or that pervert Blind Man.

She went to the washroom to change her clothes. She had a light armless gown on. Satisfied with the dress, she went out of the room to the dining table.

"It's been long since I last had dumplings and rice meat...my favourite" She beamed as soon as she reached the table. Her previous vow had vanished the moment she sniffed the delicious meals. Alex was a bit surprised to see her since he had thought she wouldn't come.

Gloria was very excited to see her "Sister-in-law, brother said you wouldn't be here...anyway...come and sit here" She patted the seat beside Alex.

Reluctantly, May went over and sat beside the man. She was in the middle of the siblings. Out of habit, she greeted the rest on the table and childishly began digging into the food. Elder Su chuckled at her cute act. He saw his grandson smiling. What else could he want more?.

Alex felt weird in his heart as he could smell his wife's scent. Happy, he took the dumpling on his plate and placed it inside hers.

"Dog food, not allowed brother" Gloria frowned "At least care about your single sister"

May looked up at the man and then at the woman. She didn't know what they meant and continued with her food.
