REMEMBER YOUR PROMISE, WIFE
In a nictate of an eye, two weeks had passed and it was the day Alex would travel abroad for his operation. The entire family marshalled themselves excitably and began reigning him lots of wishes. But it was sad Elder Su wasn't among them because he had been out of the country the previous day.
"Safe journey, young master" Butler Feng sent his blessings.
Alex tightened his hold on his cane, he was still expecting her special wish. No matter what his family said, none of them touched him, he only wished to hear from his dear wife.
"Alex leave before you miss your flight, or are you feasibly waiting for someone?" His first aunt, Barb, teased him. The others looked at his forlorn expression and hooted in a peal of quiet laughter. They voluntarily didn't dare laugh out loud in fear of dear lives.
Under the torrid sun that shone like an oven, Alex motioned his attention to the Patek Philippe around his wrist. She had handed him this five days ago as his birthday present. Then, his body was overjoyed and ecstatic. He just wished to take one last touch, to smell her permeated fragrance. But she was nowhere to be seen.
"Brother, sister-in-law won't come...you should go before you miss your flight" Gloria assertively told her brother. She had seen how he longed for May but sadly, she........
Alex indifferently took one last look at them and whisked himself into the black limousine. His intuition told him to look outside the window, and when he did, he coherently smelt her fresh mint fragrance wafting through the air.
Hope and joviality twinkled in his dull grey-blue eyes, he called "M..may"
"Ahhh it is me...Suzy, I know you want my blessings too....hehe hehe hehe, I wish you a safe surgery and I hope your eyesight is regained" The blabber mouth of a girl blurted without reasoning, she was still talking to reckon the dark and distant look on the man. A cloud of darkness and anger filled the place as Alex gritted his teeth. He felt bitter and furious. His members and even this stranger came to greet him GOODBYE! but his wife wasn't here.
'May, you are truly selfish'
'I just hope you remember your promise, wife.......come pick me up at the airport after the surgery'
"To the airport," He told the chauffeur and like a flash, the car was out of the Villa.
The family members waved the decreasing car goodbye and entered the house. Meanwhile, all the while, a young lady was watching all that transpired from the balcony. Her eyes were lifeless and her peerless body leaned against the wail. For a reason, her heart dropped when the car was no longer seen. Like a missing piece had left her body. Just like how her brother Xavier had spat and thrown her out of his house.
Little tremors spread inside her and she felt like a bone was stuck in between her throat and deliberately choking her. She found herself not being able to look away from his previous spot.
Why didn't she wish him goodbye? Because she hated him to the core. He had forced her to an eternal life marriage. He didn't even want to give her a divorce. She had even tried to open a part of her heart for him but her brother Xavier was too brute and possessive that he didn't want to open up a space for the man.
She would deliriously wait for his return and then....she and her brother Xavier will be able to reconcile.

Suzy had been looking at the woman on the balcony, her baby eyes and lips parted in shock.
So she had seen everything and didn't bother to come down. This family is weird....very weird. My fake boyfriend had planned ways to discard of me, the other grandson was blind and lovesick. The grandfather was tricky and sly. Much worse than her own father. At least she wouldn't be able to marry that old pig. In fact, she would start considering this place as her home. God must have arranged this family for her, she must be satisfied.
