ON THE STREETS AGAIN

May darted, in a brisk, out of the study office to her room. She threw herself to the bed and cried herself out. Her beautiful face crumpled in pain as his savage words lingered in her mind.

'Not you too, brother'

Her eyes burned as she was drained from crying. She stared at nothingness on the ceiling as her mind was in upheaval.

All of a sudden, she went to her closet, evacuated all of her outfits and omitted them into her luggage. She wiped her tears.

But first, she changed into a suitable gown and turned around to leave the room. As her feet carried her to the stairs, she felt suffocated when her eyes met with his door room. She shook her head and descended the stairs. Feeling restless, she clenched her hands around the luggage.

'Right now he thinks I am a kid but when we meet again, I will show him my womanness. Just wait and see. Mr Xavier Easton.'

Taking one last look at the place, she looked defeated. With a dull look, she carried herself and left.

'Goodbye.........for now'

..................

Xavier opened his door slightly after she had left. His mood deteriorated to a zero percentage. He has hurt her and himself as well but letting her go was better than never-ending suffering. He gracefully entered the room he had organized for her throughout her stay.

There was this saying 'When you are incompatible with something, just leave it"

On the silky bed, he picked up the sheet she had written.

'I will be back'

Xavier sat on the bed feeling extremely gloomy. His heart was telling him to chase after her but he just couldn't. He wanted to be selfish with himself but he thought otherwise for her happiness.

He can't tie her down to him when he wasn't going to last for a year. He would just have to let her go.

'I may be gone before you come back. May, I wish you meet someone who will give you everything you desire for'

................................

May had been feeling awful all through her journey. Ironically, she was back on the street. She wondered if that was where she truly belonged in the first place. But her mood soured.

She could not help but think of that man. Her heart wrenched every time his savage words came to her mind.

Putting that at the back of her mind. Her main problem was how to prove her claims. She had nowhere to go and worse the road seems scanty. No vehicles around.

She should probably spend the night on the road...there shouldn't be thieves around. Concluding, she sat down on the pedestrian side.

'Wait, brother said he booked a flight for me...i should talk to my friend to help with that otherwise that grumpy man would ruin my plans'

Waving her hand, she mumbled 'Tomorrow'

As she dropped her luggage, she could see a blaring light from a vehicle ahead. From the look of the car, she knew it came from a rich man. Since she had no where to go at this hour, she could use some tricks to get herself a home.

With her dumb yet cunning brain, as soon as the car rushed forward she pretended to faint and......
