The monday's night's veil of darkness had finally arrived and had gradually begun to Cascade uniformly upon a city that went by the name Nodem city, forming a mixture of purple and orange hues of the sunlight rays, beautifully, across the city's sky which was a sight to lo. Gone was the burning orange sun and replacing it's role was the brightly shining full moon of August.
Nodem city was one of the busiest cities across the world with the most number of tallest skyscrapers that appear to be kissing the terrain of the clouds. With those clouds, bit by bit, beginning to hang lowly homogeneously across the sky, the busy city got noisier as ever because everyone believed that it could rain at any moment.
Those enjoying themselves at the beach began fitting up to leave for home, merchants were putting the 'closed' sign on their stores and shops thresholds, the number of cars and different vehicles on the highways, especially on the city's seven infamous bridges, were minifying by the minute just as much as the city's overwhelming noise was been lessened. A moment later it began drizzling.
_____
In a secluded idle alleyway away from the busy eyes of the city, someone was experiencing a hell of an ambush of his life. Rawths, a new forced system of government securities had made it clear that no one was to follow the alleyway using the official Rawths red tape that had the cautioning words "do not cross" written boldly on it. Two men were stationed at each end of the alleyway.
As if to make things more dramatic, a strong thunderous lighting flash gave a clear picture of a right hand hard punch that was landed with full force from a fattish plumpy but hard fist onto a perfectly carved left side jawline of a young buck.
The young buck fell to his knees for he had reached his limit of resistance and that last punch made his legs feel wobble to hold the weight of his body. However, the fat young bodyguard seeing that his surmount wasn't a bit satisfied with the decisive damage he had brought to the young man's bleeding mouth, he gave him more of his clenched fist. punch after punches and kick after kicks on every part of the helpless young man's body.
The two bodyguards that were holding the helpless brutally beaten young buck allowed his limp body to fall with a thud sound, hitting his head hard on the ground and seemingly becoming motionless on the wet cold floor of the alleyway. He closed his eyes, feeling the pain his body was going through, smacking the metallic taste of his mouth full of blood.
His head bled, mixing and changing the color of the rain water beneath him into a light carmine color. Really, his love life experience is a one to narrate to newbie lovers...that is if he gets out of this situation alive.
He didn't expect the wonderful memorable day of the love of his life to end up like that but faith is always full of surprises, good and bad, sweet and bitter. The fat guy kept on kicking and matching him mercilessly, like he had no heart to feel pity or that had ever felt mercy.
The series of beating led the helpless young man to bleed through his mouth continuously; spitting black blood on the marble floor. A lifetime of damage has already been done to his internal organs.
Bored with watching the scene playing in front of his eyes, the muscular, well -built master of the ambush group said with a smirk "Oh my dear poor Theogo, for your information, I am really enjoying this moment to my core." As he moved, with each step of his long legs like a vernal king that was in his prime, closer to the poorly beaten Theogo.
The guy has an aura of authority, wealth, power and a carefree easy-going sense and nature. Nevertheless, his easy going nature is very low in comparison to his countless remorseless actions which brought him to his current position and made a lot of his friends and even his family members to be cautious of him and to not cross their boundaries.
Meanwhile as he walked, one of his right hand bodyguards never let a single drop of falling rain touch his leather jacket, holding the black umbrella like a robotically programmed human being without a tinge of smile on his ugly slim face.
The muscular guy squatted to have a better look of Theogo's face "Whoah!Timmy, what have you done to this handsome face?! has anyone seen how did this happened to him?" The guy asked his personal bodyguards sarcastically.
They all shook their heads in denial and then he continued. "What's that I'm seeing Fat Timmy? Did you just add an additional protruding eyeball at the right side of his cheek?" Said the taunting Ezekiel as he held Theogo by the collar and he added him three more punches of his own, bloodning his hand by the process.
Timmy had a Satisfied look on his face, almost smiling... It has been a while since the last time he smiled. His master has appreciated his work which was something very very rare.
The remaining six guys laughed at Ezekiel's sarcastic comment but Immediately shut up their mouths when Ezekiel turned his head and gave them a warning stare that said 'You dare to laugh without my permission?' They don't talk or move when he is around without his permission.
The rainfall was getting heavier by the minute like it never wanted anyone to save the poor Theogo. Series of hash lightning continued to strike the air. The weather was indeed perfect for his timing to teach Theogo never to not listen to his warning, ever again. Especially, a warning that has to do with the person he deemed the love of his life, Phoebe. His patootie. Just the thought of her made his heart so warm.
Theogo scrunched his face in pain but the fire in his eye was never dead. In fact when he stared at Ezekiel with his one eye, the other one being temporarily closed in pain, he ignited a new fear inside Ezekiel.
Ezekiel thought that 'This guy is a hell of a tough guy. But, that look, it looks inhuman, no human will dare to look at me in the eyes like that after teaching it an unmerciful lesson. Is he even a human?'
Ezekiel believed that ' Pain can make a merciless prince to cry, can bend a stubborn criminal to confess and can infuse fear in the heart of the weak. But right there and then, Theogo was proving to not fall into those categories with the way he stared at him... in a demonic way, Ezekiel can say.
The tales his grandfather has told him severally, when he was a kid that the existence of demons and other talismanic creatures is real but not a mere myth, were going through his head as he gazed at Theogo unintentionally. Maybe, just maybe they are real since even he himself could do inhuman things that resemble 'magic' .
Ezekiel was the one that began the staring contest and now, it appeared like Theogo was using a charm to hold his gaze and to make him feel the intent of killing he has developed for him.
"Dear Theogo, I've warned you severally" Said Ezekiel, ignoring the feeling of fear he just went through, in a serious tone. "I did warn you attentively to get out of my girl's business but you never paid a serious consideration to my words, you never listened and now see" He said, opening his arms widely like a flying bird's wings. "Your stubbornness has brought your death much closer than you expect, than we all expected."
Strengthening himself from the squatting position,he continued talking. " I don't warn people twice, I've given you chances more than twice which is totally out of my CULTURE ''. He phrased the last word louder, startling his bad boys. They all saw their young master clenching his fist in anger.
Theago knew that Ezekiel wasn't lying. 'Just wait and see... wait and see me ending your life with my bare hands' was what was going through Theogo's all fired mind.
This was unfair, Ezekiel, although, being muscular and powerful as one of Nodem city's elites, couldn't point a finger at Theogo if it came to hand to hand fighting. Theogo fights wildly but smartly, faster than normal and he doesn't give up until he passes out or he beats his opponent to victory. Him being grown up on the street from a tender age made him aggressive and besides that fact, there were more to it.
Theogo on that day was mysteriously strong because a bike collided with him at almost full speed before getting beaten by Timmy and surprisingly he didn't die. That can be accounted in rightly killing him straightaway.
As all that was happening, Theogo could feel the swollen lesion on his right cheek healing and compressing back to normal at an unusually fast rate. 'This is not the first time...' He thought. Is he a superhuman or what? Ezekiel didn't notice but Timmy did notice that Theago's face has almost completely healed from the damages he brought to him.
"Sir, we are getting late for the mission and I'm afraid that Miss Helen will be pissed at us for keeping her waiting in the car this long." The unsmiling man, who went by the name Lwaine holding the umbrella, reminded Ezekiel.
Ezekiel turned his head and looked at the white Jeep amongst the remaining black jeeps surrounding them.He gestured for Timmy with his fingers to light up a cig for him. Timmy complied without uttering a word.
Ezekiel kept on smoking his cig under the umbrella as he gazed down at Theogo with a meaningful devilish smirk "Hey TIMMY!!!...." he called out loudly as he blew his cig's smoke through his nostrils.
'Did I light the wrong cig? 'Timmy thought "... hurry up and get me my golden GUN from the white jeep. Let me end this rat now and for good, what do you say?Lwaine?" The dangerous young master asked Lwaine with a mad-grin on his face before his facial expression turned into a serious one.
Lwaine silently nodded in approval to his master's words.
Meanwhile, Theago's eyeballs began lighting up when he heard Ezekiel's last words. The right one lit up Red and the left one although being closed was lighting up Green.
NOTE: The Rawths are a new uprising government in the advanced era, with the agenda of changing the world's old ruling systems. The originally terrorists group has grown powerful and was going toe to toe with the other old systems, through strtegy and force.
