Chapter 3: Meeting the Family

"Come in…" I said cautiously, the door opened to reveal a beautiful lady who look like she was

in her late twenties, she had long blonde hair, blue eyes and was a head taller than me, she was dressed in corporate navy blue Suit, I don't remember who she is from the novel.

"Good morning, Young master "She said, now I have interacted with her, I started having nostalgic feelings and memories not exactly mine ,and base on the memory I inherited from the previous Luke, she is my Personal Assistant, her name is Lydia. She is a Gold 3 Awakener , she's what you would call a decently talented person, her profession is a Swordswoman.

"Is there anything the matter, Lydia" Yes Luke was like this, he didn't care about anything but his social status and that was one of the reason he was killed earlier on in the novel.

"I wanted to remind you about the party you would be attending and the time , and also it would soon be time for breakfast " She said calmly. Although am not all to concerned about the breakfast and meeting the family of this body, but party isn't my thing.

"I would be there in 10 minutes, and also cancel any plans that's not related to training, I wont be attending any party from now on till later in the future, the academy is in 3 months from now , so I need to focus on myself, Have i been Understood?" As the words left my mouth, my personal assistant had some changes in her expression , a surprised look and a suspicious one, but it isn't in her duty to ask for the reason of such sudden change.

"Yes, young master, I'll be taking my leave now" she bowed a little and left me alone, after waiting for some seconds.

"Phewwww" I exhaled a deep breath.

"That was really hard , though it's not in my character to act like this, I hope I pulled it well, as for the Parties,this is now my life , I don't care who I offend with it, I won't follow the way of the former one, If I don't find anything interesting, I would obviously discard it"

I took of my clothes, I don't have much of a muscle considering the fact I am a sword user and a dual one at that, he has been neglecting his training for social activities, he is such a waste he really did deserved what happened to him , but there are some things that confuses me but I'll think about it later and with that I got to the bathroom

10 minutes later

I was heading to the dining hall, and I saw 3 people seated there at the dining table, I was first attracted to the handsome man seated at the host seat, with a jet black hair and sapphire eyes, a well toned body, Obviously a swordsman and light in complexion , he looked early 40s. His name Mathew Richardson. He uses Broadsword and he is Crown 2.

At his right hand was a beautiful woman who could make a lot of celebrities back on earth look like housemaids , she screams royal , she had silver eyes , tanned skin and long wavy brown hair, she is obviously on her late 30s. I guess I took after her. Her name Lena Richardson. She's a mage Crown 2 in rank.

And finally just beside her is someone I hadn't expect because it wasn't mentioned in the novel, a very young timid girl, who should be my younger sister she looks 10, sapphire eyes like my father, with a medium long curly hair brown hair and a pink bow on it and lighter skin , she looks really cute and adorable, her name being Chloe Richardson .

I hadn't expect to know their names if not of the inherited memories.

I went straight to my seat, which was on the left side of my father or directly opposite my mother, I greeted

"Good morning Father and Mother" I said with every dignified tone I could muster.

"Hmmm" Mathew said nodding his head slightly

"Good morning my handsome Son" Lena replied to a beautiful and warming smile on her face. Her voice was really peculiar, it was clear , pleasant and audible.

"And how was your night Chloe" I turned my attention to my younger sister, who looked at me and smiled brightly.

"I and Mr Peter slept well, big brother" she said while showing me a brown teddy bear, Because i tried not to act suspicious , I didn't have the time to look closely at it .

"Oh really" I said with a smile.

"Yes , yes , yess"

"Alright, we should eat now so that Dad can go to work while big brother attends his party" my Mother said . Then we started eating. Till my father filled the dining with his deep voice.

"Luke, I hope your getting prepared for the academy in three months, and your ready for it?" He said , but in all honesty he sounded like someone who really care for my wellbeing,

" Yes Father, Infact I wont be attending any more parties from today henceforth Mother, I wanted to focus solely on my training , I have found out I am very weak and if I don't want to bring shame to the household, I better start training and not be negligent to it" As i dropped the bomb, both of my parents looked at me. The first one to talk was my mother

"Are you sure of what your saying Son , what about the connections you've built so far and friends you've made along, won't it bother you" my Mother said genuinely worried and curious.

"I am aware of that Mother, but if I don't have strength to protect what i own , it would be taken away from me even with connections, I don't need to hide behind anyone anymore, I would defend what is mine with my own hands " I said without stuttering or showing any signs of backing down from my decision.

"But ….."

"Let him be Lena, he is growing up and as a man there are challenges he must face alone, if he can't face it then he is doomed" my Father interrupted my mother and showed his support to my decision , he smiled.

"I am proud of you son, and I hope you wont fail us". He added

" Haaaah , its okay then , I just want you to promise me to be safe and secured " My mother gave up from persuading me , she really cared for me , not like my Earth family that only saw me as an investment.

"I will try to keep the promise mother" I said with a smile. Then the breakfast went smoothly with laugh and stories my younger sister dreamt of.

Back to my room, I started to recollect about incidents that happened this morning , even if there are changes to their son , it wasn't much they only cared about my well being , well I can't promise them that considering the fact , their are a-lot of things needed to be done.

I called my assistant

"Hello young master" Lydia said. Without wasting much time. I gave her the orders

" Prepare the vehicle , we would be living to the enchanted forest" I said

"Okay young master".

I ended the call, took a deep breath , there was something important in the forest that could break through my talent cap to limitless, and knowing how such great thing became a waste made me want to curse at the author but i wasn't on Earth but in his damn story.
