Chapter 43 "What A Fool"

They were tongue-tied. The vomiting disciples destabilized the formation for a few seconds but elders brought it under control.

What was that technique? Was it a divine realm technique?

Elders, despite living for hundreds of years and having a lot of experience, never have heard of a technique that could bring forth thousands of spear from the ground and those which can penetrate the defense of energy condensation realm cultivators.

He must have learned such a high-level technique even before joining the sect.

'He has such a high level of technique that's why he did not care for techniques from the dao repository.' Nearly every elder thought as such.

But Su Ling had different thoughts. He was most shocked of all. He exactly knew the origin of this cultivation technique.

"Stone impaler"

He was with the young master when they picked up this technique.

A weak technique with limited potential, everyone used to look down upon it

Nonetheless there it was mightier than any technique they have ever seen, hell it was even better than some formations.

"Let's start fighting seriously now."

Start fighting seriously?

If killing thousands of people wasn't being serious then could only creating mountains of corpses satisfy him?

Inner disciples from Blair's end didn't have much time to think when the boy smiled toward them and extended his hand.

"!!!!"

Yin Wang and the elders knew what was coming.

"Everybody, jump!" They instructed the inner disciples.

The spears were coming. But they had fatal flaws.

The spears could only prove lethal when no one saw them coming. The boy filled up that flaw by using the extreme speed of impalement.

The second flaw and the most lethal one was that it could not hurt someone flying at a great height like the case for elders and sect master of Blair's end.

When the inner disciples heard the elders, many skilled ones jumped right away.

While some inexperienced got perplexed and of course end up dead.

They were impaled right away but this time the spears didn't pierce their vitals rather the boy made sure that each one of them would experience hell before dying.

"Arghhhhhhh"

Every single one of them cried at the top of their lungs but no friend or comrade got near to help them.

Those who survived jumped hundreds of meters back in fear. What was in front of them looked like hell.

The horrendous cries, with the ground covered in blood. It nearly made survivors shit their pants.

"I agree with you at only one point, It really is a sweet 'melody'."

The boy smiled toward Yin Wang who was frowning right now.

No matter how cruel Yin Wang was, these were his people and it's getting out of hand now.

"I will fucking skin you."

Yin wang was absolutely pissed to the point he personally took action now.

He simply threw a punch.

Despite him being miles away, the force behind the punch came all the way to the black deity.

"Hold your place!" 9th elder shouted towards the disciples under him.

They poured the worldly energy at the maximum rate possible and the transparent walls erected by formation became even firmer.

Banggg------

"Ughhh"

The impact was far worse than they thought. Some of the disciples spurted out blood.

But before they can stabilize

Bangg----

Another punch landed on the wall.

This time many of the disciples fell unconscious. They could not take the black-lash from the formation.

Full-on assault from an end-stage defier realm expert who was receiving support from 14 defier realm experts wasn't something that could be overcome by numbers.

"Youn...young master!!" Su Ling urgently called for the boy. He was barely managing to hold the formation.

"Die!!!"

Yin wang shouted with bloodshot eyes and sent another attack but this time he was not barehanded like before. He was wearing a pair of gauntlets.

"Sky splitter artifact!!!" The 9th elder was terrified.

It was rumored that Blair's end previous sect master managed to get his hand on a sky splitter artifact which was countless times stronger than a normal spirit artifact.

But no one knew what was that artifact or was the rumors even true. But now they know for certain but it's already too late.

"We are done for."

Despair filled the elder's heart.

When grim reaper seemed to be just a few steps away they heard a voice. A voice that seemed to have the capability to reverse this death situation for them.

"RISE!" The boy shouted in a loud voice.

Tens of thousands of spears rose from the ground without leaving even an inch of distance between them.

They looked less like spears and more like a black wall that rose from the ground.

The attack landed on the spear wall instead of the formation and successfully destroyed hundreds of spears before vanishing, eating up quite a large portion of the wall.

Soon the destroyed portion was healed by newly erecting spears.

"This..."

"We....we are saved."

Surviving the slash of the grim reaper, everyone from the black deity was relieved.

The admiration and respect for their savior in front of them increased to a brand new level.

"It's too early to be happy. Anri, prepare the formation."

The boy holding the wall in place under the constant barrage of attacks constantly supplied the chaos energy.

"Yes, young master! West wing!"

Anri came back to her senses and ordered the outer disciples to be ready.

The boy shifted the whole burden of the wall to his left hand and with his right hand, he gathered energy to attack back.

The disciples from Blair's end who barely managed to come back to senses were endangered again.

"Impale!" Either the boy wanted to remove the weak grass from the field first or he really enjoyed the young ones' cries.

As soon as spears got out of the ground, the elders themselves took action and brought as many disciples as they could into the air, holding them in place by providing worldly energy.

"Now!" The boy ordered.

Anri, as the core, controlled the west side of the formation. Countless fire arrows appeared above each of the disciple's heads.

East, west, north, south...wind, fire, wood, and lightning respectively.

Each side of the formation controlled different attributes. Each of the attributes was to be used one at a time, to avoid conflict even during the launch process.

Outer disciples cried frantically and poured as much worldly energy as they could.

The arrows when launched looked like waves of the sea of flames capable of turning anything in its way into ashes.

The elders, who were already providing energy to sect master and supporting inner disciples, were barely able to put a shield around themselves much less other inner disciples.

Levitating in the air, disciples were not able to protect themselves as there was sure death below them in the form of countless spears.

Elders had to choose. To either save themselves or protect these kids.

However, they made their decision quite easily.

Who the hell would be willing to give up their life for some disciples.

'As long as we elders survive we can always rebuild our sect. On top of those bastards from Black deity surely could not keep up with this defense. Sooner or later they would fall."

Ever elder thought as such and nodded while looking toward each other.

They let the disciples go.

"!!!?"

Disciples after losing the protection from elders fell one after another.

"No!!!" They were not willing to accept this fate.

They were abandoned by even their sect. Were they that much worthless?

Did elders saw them as nothing more than ants?

The last thought before their death was quite hilarious. It made them laugh at themselves.

Didn't they also treat outer disciples as such? Now it was their turn.

But there was an exception.

Few hundred disciples survived because an elder didn't remove the protection from them.

It was that young female elder.

She was breathing quite heavily. Her power was draining out very quickly. Supporting so many disciples was a big burden even for an elder. She had to let go of her defense to protect those kids.

"Are you an idiot? Protect yourself, think about others later."

Other elders shouted at her. They all chose to abandon their disciples and save themselves.

"No!"

She rejected with a firm tone.

"I would never abandon my disciples. It was our fault in the first place that they were dragged into this mess. If I abandon them now, I would never be able to hold up my head high."

"You!!!" Elders knew not what to say to this stupid girl.

The disciples who chose her as their master thought that it was the best decision they had made in their life.

The fire arrows kept striking against the energy shields. Those disciples who were abandoned by elders and survived the impalement were burned to crisp.

Those red arrows burned the flesh into ashes within a few seconds. The sea of flame below with black spears sticking out of the fire, truly looked like hell.

"Don't bother her. Youngblood always tends to be like this."

A senior elder stopped other elders from worrying about her.

sigh---

He remembered that they all used to be like that when they were young until they experienced the true cruelty of the cultivation world.

On top of that, if she was forced into abandoning her disciples, it could affect her Dao heart negatively.

Swooosh----

"Don't worry, these measly attacks pose no threat to m...."

Before she could finish her sentence she stopped. A spear sticking out of her chest.

"...."

She looked toward the direction it came from and saw a boy smiling at her.

She was losing her senses. She could not hear what the boy said but she did read his lips.

"What a fool..."

Her vision darkened. Like a broken kite, she fell into the sea of flames below her.

Just like that, a great beauty disappeared from the world of cultivation.
