CHAPTER 8: CONTROL FREAK

Once Evelyn walked in she found everyone in the living room,they looked really serious watching the screen of the television she sat directly on a couch in the living room and saw that it was the news channel.While Robert stood behind her.

"...that Mr Smith Rogers has been into human trafficking and many women and children have fallen victim to him and his men,the police were suddenly called to the hotel where his men were about finalizing another deal.He used the royale tulips hotels as a cover up for his illegal deals,which has people Wondering if the partners of Mr Smith Rogers are into the same business ". The voice of the female host sounded and then the television was turned off.

"Where is dad I've been calling him but his not picking up?"A male voice asked,that was her elder brother Frederick

"i don't know he left a message for me in the waiting room that he got a call from the office and needed to attend to it". Evelyn answered

Her mum walked towards her and held her hand. "How are you Eve?" Mrs Christy asked

Evelyn knew what she was asking about but acted like she didn't,not like she could help her with anything.Her mum was even scared of her own children,she seemed like a mouse in the house that would get frightened by a little noise.

Well now that she paid attention to her mum she felt like she looked really tired and older, a few strands of white hair were begining to show on her beautiful chestnut brown hair

"Am fine mum". Evelyn said "And mum,please rest more".she hugged her mother and walked towards her room,While Robert left the house.

she didn't plan on living in this place forever, although she knew she wouldn't be released from this family that easily,she still wanted to try.

Once she got to her room she lay on the bed and couldn't help thinking of the hot guy she bumped into at the sanatorium.Now that she thought about it he had a tattoo on his arm and it looked really sexy with his clean shaved beard not like that Sebastian who had a full beard although that was hot.she suddenly slapped her face.

'Evelyn stop thinking about the doctor his just like the rest at the sanitarium,who knows.. if you weren't suddenly strong willed you would have blabbed everything out' She said to herself while taking deep breathes to calm herself down.

speaking out loud in this room was not safe.

She never knew that until her college days, that day she was in her room on the phone talking to her friend in school and then their conversation moved to boys they've liked before.she spoke about a guy she was crushing on and before she could even finish the phone call her father opened the door with his keys and took her phone from her.that night she was taken to the study room and was given a lecture till dawn about how a proper lady should behave, she was banned from talking to her friends at school as he said 'they were a bad influence on her' she was also punished severely,just thinking about that time gave her the shivers.She was always controlled by her father to the point of being given a medical check up every month to make sure that she was still a virgin.That was how bad of a control freak her father was."Maybe i would be given to a drug lord in some mafia organization as a clean beautiful virgin girl".she muttered sarcastically under her breathe

She went into the bathroom to take a shower and changed into her pajamas .While wiping her hair with a towel she walked to her makeup table, picked the hair dryer on the table and began drying her hair.After that she opened her drawer which had lots of books in it, picked one of them and sat on her bed while reading it till she slept off.
