Betrayal

The castle is quiet but far from being tranquil. Glowing a bright shade of orange from the number of candles lit in every chandelier and lamps, it minimized the loneliness of this place.

I had finished dinner with my stomach still full from the start, and my appetite completely was gone throughout. This time I did not force myself to eat as I could not bear doing so. My mind running with thoughts was enough to feed me with paranoia, only worsening when Faye, Rhys, or Blossom dared not to join me.

The obedient elven ladies stood by the wall with their heads down and hands together on their stomachs. I wonder if they have been that way since the afternoon with no rest. Lyra is lucky to have been assigned to me, given that I won't treat her less than being a friend.

She sat submissively beside me and has been nervously turning her head left and right while she stresses, "I'm not supposed to sit beside you comfortably."
