Conclusion

"Oh, fuck!" I cursed, jumping out of the way as Lullaby—who looked like a giant, meaner big brother of Groot—sent his wooden, spiky whip at me. He blocked Natsu's Fire Dragon Roar effortlessly.

The bastard was targeting me more than anyone else. Sure, his whips weren't instant killers, but they left massive splinters thanks to those jagged, sharp wood pieces.

Lullaby was thrashing everyone. Erza, Natsu, Happy, and Gray were barely dodging and striking back. The members of Eisenwald weren't so lucky; many were flung away by the demon's strikes, crashing into roofs, walls, or even their own comrades. Some were knocked out cold, while others passed away as the demon absorbed their souls, growing even stronger.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu hollered, breathing fire, but to his surprise, the demon just laughed and kicked him away.

"Ice Make: Geyser!" Gray shouted, his hands throwing out ice and snow. The demon barely looked scratched as it released a supersonic attack, bringing Fairy Tail to its knees. I flew around, using cheap shots to hurt the demon, but no dice.

Erza fought valiantly, her (my) holy sword glowing brighter with each second as if reacting to something. She dodged a massive swing from Lullaby and retaliated with a fierce slash, but the demon barely flinched.

Natsu got back on his feet, determination blazing in his eyes. "We've got to hit him harder!" he yelled, charging back into the fray. Gray and Erza nodded, their resolve steeling.

Happy swooped in to grab me, lifting me out of harm's way as Lullaby's whip lashed out again. "Thanks, buddy," I muttered, feeling a mix of frustration and gratitude.

"Don't mention it!" Happy chirped, his wings flapping hard as he dodged another attack.

We regrouped behind a crumbling wall, panting and battered. "We need a new plan," Erza stated, her voice firm but tinged with exhaustion.

"No shit," I muttered, wincing as I inspected a fresh cut on my arm. It healed in few second in golden hue as I casted Healing Hand.

Natsu, Gray, and Erza attacked with rapid, coordinated combos, but the demon endured with a sadistic laugh bubbling from its throat. "Yes, struggle more, you mortals," the demon bellowed, as jagged roots burst from the ground, aiming to pierce us limb from limb.

We either dove, jumped, or flung ourselves out of the way, narrowly avoiding the deadly roots. Some more Eisenwald members weren't so lucky; they were instantly pierced and died on the spot.

"Oh no, Lucy! Watch out!" I screamed in fear. My sister was about to be skewered, but she was pushed aside just in time by Tauros, who took the blow for her. The roots tore him apart, and he instantly returned to the spirit world.

Erza's rage was palpable. She roared like a dragon, her swords shining brightly as she slashed at the demon. For the first time since our fight began, the demon looked genuinely spooked but its attention again turned to Natsu who released another torrent of flames. How the fuck this wooden Demon was kicking ass of son of Fire Dragon King?

The whole place was in chaos, but we finally got a breather. I looked around, relieved to see that my allies were battered and bruised but still alive and kicking. The Dark Guild that unleashed this demon was in ruins, with most of them already injured and a few casualties. Cries and shouts filled the air. One goon from Eisenwald, the fat one with green hair and some kind of ground magic, was rolling around on the ground, releasing snot and tears as he wailed like a baby.

"You okay?" Lucy asked as I landed near her, casting Healing Hands on her bruised body while she remained focused on the demon and our guildmates. She shot fire arrows from her Fairy Bow toward Natsu, who eagerly devoured the flaming arrows like lollipops, sucking out the fire before chewing the sticks and spitting them out. He gave Lucy a thumbs up before refocusing on the demon.

"Yeah, don't worry about me. I can fly, so being bait is safest for me compared to you lot," I said, launching spikes of icicles toward Lullaby. The demon just shrugged off my attack and laughed cruelly. If that thing could shrug off Gray's attacks, my ice was doing jack shit.

How is this fucker so strong? Isn't he supposed to be the first boss fight?

"Begone!" Erza finally had enough. She snapped out of her daze, her holy sword blazing with silver light. My Silver Crystal Sword in her hands shined brightly, gathering light as if magnetically pulling photons around her.

"What is that?!" Lullaby looked alarmed for the first time, shielding his eyes as the light burned them. "What sorcery is this? That sword…"

"This is your end! There is no mercy for monsters like you!" Erza yelled, swiping the sword. Honest to God, she released an energy beam in a slashing motion, like Getsuga Tensho from Bleach.

The monster released a terrible screech. In front of our very eyes, the wood monster disintegrated piece by piece in a single second. It felt like slow motion, the world turning black and white like a manga panel as Lullaby vanished with one last pathetic cry before the world resumed.

And suddenly, it was all over with one single attack. That sword one-shotted the demon who had been kicking our asses all over the place.

That's the full potential of Silver Crystal Sword, wielded by worthy hand. And I have feeling I can't do the same because that Sword was supposed to be used by magical girl, at least I think so as its from Sailor Moon and it was used to stab Tuxedo or some poor sap. That sword is feminist as it can get.

Ah well, At least Erza looks more beautiful with shining swords in her hand as she stood triumphly as she raised the sword.

"Ah, this is an odd feeling," Erza commented as she watched a horde of Rune Knights arresting the members of the Eisenwald guild. Their leader struggled in chains, shouting endlessly, only to be knocked out by the butt of a sword. The soldier who did it looked proud of his handiwork.

"It is, isn't it?" I replied, savoring the milkshake in my hand as I sat on the bench with my guildmates. A bunch of frog-headed officials surrounded us, wielding pens and paper instead of swords and shields.

Fucking bureaucrats and their ultimate weapon: paperwork.

"So, informing these guys really worked out," Gray remarked, his eyes scanning the area. "I was half expecting them to drag our asses to the council after what we just did."

He glanced at the broken and battered train station, now reduced to rubble, surrounded by overgrown thorny woods and a few dead bodies littered around.

"We are not so unreasonable, Mr. Fullbuster," one of the frog ladies spoke in a snide tone as she continued scribbling on her paper. "Fighting a Dark Guild that opposes the rules of the Magic Council is a noble job, even for ruffians like you. You even went all and beyond and slew a demon, very impressing indeed."

"Who are you calling ruffians?" Natsu shouted, his adrenaline-fueled temper quickly flaring up.

"Stand down," Erza commanded.

"Aye, ma'am!" Natsu's aggression vanished alongside his bravado as he saluted. The frog lady huffed before walking toward her commander, who happened to be Doranbolt's partner. He nodded at me when our eyes met.

Hah, nepotism at its finest, especially when they have a lot of respect and fondness for you, even if you've just joined Fairy Tail, the circus of troublemaker mages.

"Anyway, you should take this sword back. It does belong to you," Erza said earnestly, her eyes filled with deep admiration for the sword in her hand as she reluctantly handed it back to me.

I think she's also someone who bones with their sword like a certain redhead from another dimension.

"Nah, you take it. You were just influenced by a demon; having a holy sword in your hands wouldn't hurt. And as much as I hate to admit it, I don't have as much passion for swordsmanship as I do for learning magic. Before gaining magic, it was a priority, but not now," I declined, refusing to reclaim my sword.

"But—" Erza spluttered, looking at me in shock.

"No buts. Consider it a gift for our first date," I winked.

"Date?" she asked, confused.

"We met in the morning, went to the city by train, beat up a few bad guys, killed a demon. Sounds like a good time to me," I answered casually, leaning my head close with a smirk.

Erza looked surprised, her eyes widened at my audacity more than anything. Her shoulders trembled, Natsu, Happy, and Gray backed off slightly, while Lucy ground her teeth before calming herself down.

"Pfff, hahaha." Erza laughed melodiously, her eyes shining brightly as if she saw something amusing or even heartwarming, like watching cat videos on a tired day or sipping hot chocolate on a rainy day.

"Of course, I couldn't possibly disrespect this beautiful sword and its equally cute wielder. Very well, I accept," she smiled.

"It's handsome, handsome!" I protested indignantly, a faux pout forming on my face, only to brighten the face in front of me.

"Urgh." Happy slumped.

"Gross." Natsu nodded.

"Ew, stop flirting like we don't exist and are standing right here," Lucy finally added in a complaining tone. Oh, come on, sis, don't be like those anime sisters who always try to ruin their brother's rizz because they secretly like him.

"Anyway, you might want to put this sword in your Re-equip space. Who knows what that nasty demon did when he was inside," I suggested. She nodded thankfully as the blade disappeared.

I wasn't too sad to let it go. It's a sword for magical girls anyway, so it might as well be in the hands of a girl with magical power who likes swords.

Suddenly, the Celestial Grimoire in my soul shone brightly as a new perk began to inscribe itself on the pages.

Rolling…

You rolled: Dragon Tamer (Highschool DXD)

The Dragon loves you. Maybe it's something in your blood, or something in your soul, but the fact is the fierce race of Dragon kind is really protective of you. Your scent is like that of catnip, your sound is like melody, your appearance is that of art in Dragon's eyes. You have outstanding understanding and luck with anything concerning Dragons.

Cost: 400CP

Roll successful.

Purchase the roll?

Shut up and take my CP! This is practically more valuable than anything else I've rolled so far. It might not actively do anything, but having dragons as allies in a world where they're at the top of the food chain is priceless.

The catnip aura part scares me a little, but who cares?! Hell, with this, I might be able to use Talk no Jutsu on Acnologia and bring him to light and justice.

Total: 200CP

"Why are you so pouty anyway?" I asked Lucy, ruffling her hair from above as she walked while I floated just above her. This blatant display of magic amused nearby onlookers. It was almost evening as we bid our farewells and retired for the day. The guild looked absolutely starstruck with all of us after learning what had happened today.

"It's nothing, I swear, just drop it." She batted my hands away, preventing me from messing up her hair again. She looks better when she lets her hair down and wild anyway.

"Is this about Erza? I told you it's fine. I can't bring out that sword's full potential like her, and I also gave you the Fairy Bow and unlimited elemental arrows. It's yours."

"It's not about the gift, dammit," she hissed like an angry cat before calming down. She stopped and sat on the railing of a small bridge, watching the river beneath us.

"So, what's it then? Did I do something?" I asked, a little bit worried. If I hadn't awakened my previous memories, I'd be shaking in fear by now. That irrational fear was something I created before realizing who I was.

Not anymore.

"Do you like Erza, or Virgo, or Levy, or even Mira?" she asked softly.

Where did that come from?

"I mean, which red-blooded male doesn't like beautiful women? It's practically hardwired into our brains. I can't speak for the girls, but for us, we practically like a woman in one second if she's beautiful," I answered honestly. I think I hung out with enough friends in school and college to understand how boys work.

I wasn't a shut-in.

"What about me?" she asked, her gaze completely focused on my face. Even if I twitched, I had a feeling she'd spot it.

"You're beautiful, of course, and I love you. But I think I know what's going on," I said triumphantly, taking her by surprise. "You're just offended that I don't stare at you like I do at other girls, so you're worried that you're not beautiful."

The smile on her face became more strained with each passing second before it fell. She trembled, and unlike Erza who smiled, my sister's face resembled a volcano as she grabbed my face.

"I'M PLENTY BEAUTIFUL, YOU BRAT! I DON'T NEED YOUR COMPLIMENTS TO KNOW THAT!" she screamed before letting her fists do the talking as she bonked me on the head.

Very hard. Repeatedly.

Ouch, ouch, ouch!

"Ow! Okay, fine, you're very beautiful, but you're my sister. My love and respect for you will never let me look at you like that," I somewhat lied. Well, it's true that my love for her will not let me lust after her, but she's a very beautiful young woman, so of course, my body and mind will not agree with my heart.

"Then what was that last night when we were sleeping?" she asked, a teasing smirk forming on her face, her finger waving around my midsection.

"That's just my body's reaction," I defended my honor with a straight face.

"Of course." She sighed before smiling once again. "Enough of this doom and gloom, let's go home and make us some dinner."

After that, the tension was finally broken, but I could tell something was deeply bugging Lucy. She didn't tell me what she wanted to say at that moment.

But being the good brother that I am, I will patiently wait for the moment when she finally gathers the courage to come to me.

I am actually not a dense harem protagonist. What Lucy might feel toward me may not be the natural love between siblings. I know that, and I accept it too. I will love Lucy regardless of what kind of love she desires.

After all, loving her is all I've known since I was born here. So no matter which kind of Love she ask of me, I will gladly give it. But of course its her choice as I will be happy to be with her under any circumstances, its on her if she wants to go that messy route. Incest is wincest, again who first invented that word, may he burn for all eternity.

It's a good thing Lucy didn't make a hasty decision based on jealousy, or she might have been the one who felt guilty, even if I accepted her.

Ah well, I'll leave this mess to think over for Future Lucas. For now, dinner awaits.

Short chappy for today as this concludes demon flute arc. Now slice of life and lewd days before storms will approach once again.
