First steps

~Timeskip time~

Time passes and Luna grows alongside her new sister, whose first birthday is rapidly approaching. she's eight months old and currently sitting comfortably in her mothers grasp alongside her big sister as she makes incoherent sounds, trying to mimic her parents.

"ababbababa"

She utters staring up at her mother.

"hehe is my little kitty trying to speak"

Kumi says as she nuzzles her youngest to encourage her.

"mmm...mama"

An excited smile spread across Kumi's face as her youngest spoke her first word. The love for her little kitties causing her to once again nuzzle against Luna and hug her tighter.

"eeeh did my cute kitty just call me mama? did ya? oh yes you did cutie"

"ehehe"

Hearing her mothers happy voice she releases a cute giggle and repeats.

"Mama!"

Being happy her mother calls for her husband to tell him the good news. slightly disappointed that he wasn't there for Luna a minute ago he looks towards his daughter with a gentle smile hearing her repeat the only word in her vocabulary.

As the two parents were celebrating with a congratulatory kiss for their work as parents. Their eldest daughter woke up and groggily opened her eyes to see her parents and little sister looking proud and happy.

"Mama's loud"

She proclaimed after being woken up by the happy group.

"Hehe my little princess that's because your little sister just said her first words. Isn't that great?"

Kumi stated proudly whilst looking at her first born.

"Wow!! YAY!!"

Momo shouts somewhat loudly as she looks towards her little sister who's now drifting off to sleep after tiring herself out from repeating the word that made her parents the happiest.

"Hehe goodnight little kitty"

Kumi whispers as the family settles down and they go about the rest of their day, but with happy smiles on their faces reminded of their youngest and cutest family member.

A month later

The family is sitting in front of a large TV. The adults or on the sofa sitting comfortably close together watching the carpet in front of them with an excited gleam in their eyes as they watch their two daughter crawl around on the carpet exploring their surroundings talking to each other in their own limited vocabulary way.

The two are currently sitting at either end of one side of a coffee table that happens to be placed in the centre of the carpet with a hand each on the edge of it. They both try as hard as they can finally stand and take a step.

The two of them stand and balance themselves by holding on to the top of the table meeting each others gaze as a competitive fire is ignited in their eyes without them even knowing what they're feeling. They just want to be like their parents and walk on two feet.

Luna takes her first step using her tail instinctually to help balance herself as she lets go of the coffee table and her little legs tremble slightly as the full weight of her little body rests atop them. Unbeknownst to her, the little kitties quirk has strengthened her body slightly making it easier to stand allowing her to be closer to her big sister.

Momo watching her starts to take a step forward as well not wanting to show any kind of weakness in front her adorable little sister.

The two adults in the room watch their kids intently waiting for the perfect time to pounce on them and congratulate the two for being such great children.

"Look look our children are the best honey."

Kumi's husband Hajime excitedly says to his wife as she turns to him before stopping and looking back at her kids as they take a few more steps before falling down and giggling happily to each other as they turn to face the happy expressions on their parents faces.

They spent the rest of the day happily together.
