CHAPTER 17

Madison's POV

"Welcome home madam Madison." All the servants choired, the moment I came down from the car.

They were all standing in a straight line just to welcome me. I can't be any happier than receiving such a beautiful welcome.

"Thank you all." I responded as Mary and I found our way inside the mansion.

I've missed this mansion so much. Most of my teenage life was spent in this very mansion.

"Boss, I can't believe you guys own this magnificent mansion in New York." Mary exclaimed.

"We do, Babe. This is where I spent most of my teenage years and it is one of the best memories that will forever remain in my heart."

"Whoa! That's beautiful. The mansion is exactly in the form of a castle. It is really beautiful and extraordinarily outstanding."

"Babe, you're just looking at the exterior, I don't know how you're going to react when you see the interior settings."

"Really?"

"Let's go in and see for yourself." I urged her as we proceeded to the door.

"Oh my goodness! This is paradise on earth. I can't believe my eyes." She exclaimed, drooling in the living room.

"This isn't all Mary. Come, let me show you around and take you to your room."

"Okay boss. This is really lovely and beautiful."

"Thanks Mary. I wish I had siblings to interact freely with those moments and won't probably feel all lonely as the only one."

"I'm sorry to hear that, miss Madison."

"Don't be. Everything is all fine now. After all, I got you all along as my personal assistant and a close friend. Isn't that right?"

"Awwww... It is, boss. You're really making me blush."

"You're so funny, Mary." I chuckled and added, "shall we proceed."

"Yes, I really can't wait."

~NIGHT~

Mary and I already settled in and had dinner and were just discussing some random stuff when my phone buzzed with a message on the screen.

"Don't turn up late tomorrow, Miss Madison. I wouldn't want my investors getting angry on any delay." I read out loud for Mary to listen.

"How did he get your contact?" She asked.

"I don't know babe. Perhaps, he saw it on the product's papers." I suggested.

"It might be just that."

"I really don't know why he's on my throat, Mary. Does he think we're going to turn up late for the meeting just because I turned up late at the party?"

"We have to show him, we don't turn up to business meetings late."

"That's right, babe. We've got to show him what we are made of. It's high time I stand up to this man and let him know I don't joke with business."

"That's the spirit, boss lady." We both laughed.

"Let me send back a message to him." I said amidst laughter and sent, 'Okay' before saving his contact as Mr Clinton.

*MORNING*

"Good morning boss."

"Good morning babe. Hope you had a good night rest?"

"Sure did, and you?"

"I did as well." I answered as we walked to the dining room.

"Good morning Ma'am Madison. Good morning Miss Mary." The maids at the dining hall greeted in unison.

"Good morning" I responded as Mary did the same too and took a seat in the front while Mary sat beside me by the right.

The maids dish out the breakfast for us which was bacon, egg with fresh lemon juice.

After breakfast, we left for Clinton corporation along with five bodyguards as escorts and in less than forty five minutes we arrived at the company.

The company was embedded with a shiny mirror which looks like they were made of diamonds making it look astonishing and outstanding compared to other high class buildings in the whole world.

The glittering looks of the building got me admiring its features until one of the bodyguards brought me out of my small world of admiration.

"Shall we proceed, madam?"

"I can't believe I'm staring at the top famous companies around the world for the first time." Mary said, still drooling over the building.

"It is really beautiful. Let's get going before we run late for the meeting."

"Boss, we still have twenty minutes left."

"I know but I wouldn't want him throwing rude words to piss me off." I reasoned.

"That's right. Let go." She supported, as we made our way to the door to see a skinny tall man dressed in black suit standing at the entrance with two hefty bodyguards.

"Good morning Miss Madison."

"Good morning." I answered, staring at him curiously.

"Mr Clinton is expecting you in the conference room."

"Oh... Okay. You're his personal assistant, right?"

"Nope. I'm Alex Fred. His best friend and business associate."

"I thought otherwise. I'm sorry." I apologised with a pause. "I guess there's no need to introduce myself since you know my name and my purpose here?"

"Of course I do and I must admit, you're really beautiful just like your name."

"Thank you Mr Alex."

"You're welcome. Please, call me Alex. I get uncomfortable being addressed as Mr."

"Okay Alex. This is my personal assistant, Mary Josh."

"Good morning."

"Good morning Miss Mary. You've such a lovely name."

"Thank you."

"The pleasure is all mine. Shall we proceed? But first, Iet me take you both around the company before we head to the conference room."

"Yes please." Mary replied with excitement.

"This way, please." He gestures leading us inside.

••••••

After the short tour around the company, we proceed to the conference room.

We walked in as all eyes were faced on us including Mr Clinton who put up a straight face without any sign of smile or laughter.

Alex further urged us to take a seat which we did but Mr Clinton's eyes were still fixed on me.

It is not like I turned up late, there is about five minutes to the time he told me the presentation will be held. Alex is way better than him. I don't know his problem with me.

After some seconds, he took his glare off me and cleared his throat to address everyone.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. We've the C.E.O of Williams Cooperation, Miss Madison Williams amidst us. I'm sure you all know her purpose with us, today?"

"We do, Mr Clinton." The investors who were about fifteen of them answered.

"Good. Without waiting any time, Miss Williams, you can begin with the presentation."

"Thank you, Mr Clinton." I said and stood up to begin the presentation.

*******

"Your products are of high quality. Congratulations Miss Madison." One of the female investors uttered.

"Thank you."

"Miss Madison, your presentation was mind blowing and your products will be our top class soon." Alex congratulated me.

"Thank you, Alex."

"You're welcome. I'm so glad you cleared all the doubts in his head about the products." He uttered, referring to Mr Mark in a low tone.

"Thanks once again."

"You really deserve it, Miss Madison. I hope to see you more often."

"Same as me."

"Alex, if you don't mind, I want to have a private discussion with Miss Williams." Mark broke in between our conversation.

"Sure man."

"Let's proceed to my office to sign the contract finalisation." He said and walked away while I trail behind leaving Mary and Alex together.

~~~~~
"Do you agree to the terms and conditions, Miss Williams?"
I looked through the contract again. Why would he want the contract to last for 25 years and mustn't be supplied to anyone. I don't know if it is a good deal or I'm probably just confused with which one to take.
"What is in it for me if I agree to all the conditions in the contract?" I returned a question upon a question.
"$20 Million each month until the contract is over. Deal or no deal?"
It is really a good take which only comes once. Will it be beneficial to me or a total loss?
"Go for it, Madison. We've worked so hard to get to this level so falling out of the contract will be a great loss and signing the contract will be a great success." A voice in my head voiced out to me.
"Deal." I responded and signed the contract and handed it to him.
"Do you really agree with it, Miss Williams? Because once I sign it, there is no going back."
"Yes, I'm certain."
"Okay." I replied and signed the papers with a seal of his company logo.
"Congratulations Miss Williams. Welcome aboard, you're part of the Clinton corporation business associates now." He stated and brought forth his hand for a shake.
"Thank you, Mr Clinton." I answered and shook hands with him.
"The pleasure is all mine. As my new business associate, I'll like to lay out my rules to you just like I did to others." He began.
"One; I don't tolerate lateness and rudeness. Two; On no account should you talk when I talk and Finally; Avoid my anger. That's where everything gets shitty. If you're able to abide by all these then we're going to be cool. Is that noted, Miss Williams?"
I should have known he was going to lay down his rules. He wants everyone to follow his rules yet he keeps showing it towards others? I'll accept all the rules and like I said, if he pulls me too far, I'm going to lose it.
"Okay, I accept."
