Red Pine City

Red Pine City, the sprawling metropolitan sits in a barren desert three-hundred and seventy-nine kilometers inland near the northwestern part of the continent; with the wonder of technological advancement this place has been able to thrive despite the city's harsh location. Although a newly founded city, not even seventy years old it has become the center of activity for the humans in this part of the continent considering no other place except for the Lin family clan's territory is as liveable which is a place only a few even know about and considering the next nearest city is fourteen-hundred kilometers away Red Pine City was truly an oasis in the desert.

A beautiful fountain inlaid with soul beast carvings ranging from a hundred year old beast like Ancient Warrior-centipede to a large head of a hundred-thousand year old Three-headed Golden Mane Manticore decorated the center of Red Pine Plaza. People swarmed this area during lunch hours to enjoy the cooling effect the fountain had on the desert heat while they eat it at any of numerous food stalls around the plaza. Another attraction is the masterfully carve statue of a Xuanwu turtle at center of the fountain, glistening with a green luster under the mid-day sun. It continues to spray water into the sunny sky masking the arid air of the desert creating an atmosphere for tourism and leisure; here a group of students and their teachers gathered around as a tall female teacher finish briefing them on their itinerary.

"Alright everybody stick together and don't cause any trouble for the people around, You may pick any of the food stalls nearby but do not wonder outside the plaza and remember we will meet back in front of the museum after lunch."

"Yes Principal Li Lin!"

The small group of students simultaneously answered their teacher and quickly scattered into their friend groups running towards the wafting food scents they found most delicious, leaving their mighty teacher alone with their advisors. She turns to them and said that they may also relax and they obliged her for the people from the clan rarely leave their snowy domain.

'Finally alone It's been quite the week, I hope my babies are doing okay, I feel like they're growing up too quickly. One day soon they will be going on trips like this with me, *Sigh* I guess I should be happy about it. I just know little Hai Wang would make great waves throughout the soul master world.'

Lin Li Lin was awaken from her pondering by a soul power shockwave she could feel coming from the other side of the city which she immediately ignored as she recognize who the soul power belonged to. Her round button like face softened and returned to her usually cheery looking demeanor. She then tied her long flowing black hair into a pony tail exposing her skin that has tanned from their field trip here at Red Pine City, her purple eyes fix on the building in front of her to inquire about their tour before setting off.

*Welcome to the Douluo Continent Museum of Natural History.*

A huge sign carve out expensive quartz painted Red and Gold to commemorate to match the city's founding and aesthetic was visible from the skyscrapers specially from this building owned by the soul federation. For they were the driving force that created such infrastructure such as the museum and coliseum that were built recently in hopes to bring more commercial traffic into the city.

Moments earlier inside this very building a man gazing upon the city's hustle and bustle stood near a large window while ignoring the obnoxious bickering conducted by the three middle-age men behind him. Here in this hexagonal room these people along with many of their other colleagues discuss the management and governance of Red Pine City in accordance to the federation's wishes, but today they had another matter to attend to and only three of the council seats were occupied.

"Where is he, he should have returned by now. If he failed in his mission our involvement might be revealed. and we cannot afford to be enemies with the Lin Family Clan's Company specially if the reports of the Old whale returning is true."

"Would you relax Brother Wu the name Heavenly Thieving Douluo has some weight to it. Plus they would not know of our direct involvement and even if they manage to find something, they will only be able to attribute it to the War God Temple's negligence not to us 4 directly. After all we could just say that He Yingzhe was an escaped convict and was acting on his own. We could easily wash away any suspicion towards us and the federation"

"The trust you have on that man is misplaced Quan Yin the Heavenly Thieving Douluo might have been the greatest thief some decades ago but his detention and age has severely affected his cultivation, the War God Temple had not been kind to him."

"You better be sure you're not bull sh*tting me Quan Yin. The only reason I agreed to this is because you promise me it would guarantee that our faction would win the next vote if this plan succeeded. I didn't think your solution for getting more funding was to ask a convict to kick a sleeping lion in the head. Do you have any idea how much I am putting on the line just by being here?! My mere presence here puts my whole clan at risk my Xing clan has no power house to protect it. The damages my side would suffer would be catastrophic."

"Be quiet! That's enough! She's Here"

The middle-age man walk over from them window and sat down at the head of the n-shaped table. Then he pressed down on the button at the far left of his desk to let it their visitor. The door slid open revealing a woman with long white hair flowing down reaching her lower back. Her ferocious looking face did nothing to hide the obvious beauty her youth once held; her stride was disciplined and commanding as she headed to face the 4 men. The three middle-age men shook when they saw her, they could not bare the intimidating air she exuded, regular people like them could not withstand encounters like these frequently. Nonetheless these people stood up and bowed to her before returning to their seats. The man at the head of the table then spoke.

"Welcome! Junior greets Battle God Hall's Temple Master Feng Shi Jin. What has..."

Before he could finish, a communicator rang loudly, the sound echoing on the silver-metallic walls of the room. Feng Shi Jin then nonchalantly took her communicator out and answered.

"Temple-temple master haghh..haghh.. He's heeee-_____"

The line went dead and the people of the room could tell something was wrong for their leader and the Temple master had eyes wide with shock. They both felt a powerful soul power shockwave from the direction of Red Pine City War God Temple's branch.
