Fight

In another corner of the battlefield two people fought on the rubble of a collapsed high rise. Lin Mo stood to the side spectating his wife, with the children behind him hidden inside a cave made of broken walls. He was bleeding from his mouth and was slightly wounded from his own battles. All around him were the corpses of the weaker evil soul masters riddled with bullet holes. Three 50 caliber turrets scanned their surroundings for potential threats as Lin Mo commanded while he held onto a large black suit case containing an assortment machine parts. Waving his hand a fountain appeared carrying strong soul power; seven soul rings move around it, five purple and two black. Activating his martial soul the first five rings glowed and a litany of formulas and blueprints appeared in front of him then he proceeded to choose a blueprint carrying an image similar to the three turrets. Using this blueprint and his six soul ring, he waved his pen in the air like a conductor leading an orchestra. His movements created a wave of soul power that took hold of the machine parts in the suit case as well as the some of the ruined pieces of metal from the building; the materials began to fuse into another turret and then gently landed near him.

Lin Mo then dropped to his knees for he was exhausted he never was one to face combat head on and mostly spent his time working in a lab. Even his soul rings were chosen for lab work and was not suited for prolonged fight like this. He just adapted them on the fly cause he had the protection of his wife otherwise it would take too long to setup any weaponry to defend him and his family.

The two children inside the cave observe their parents situation and couldn't help feel frustrated by their helplessness specially Hei Long who had 0 cultivation.

"Brother let me go out there they need our help."

"Don't try to force it sister, mother is powerful and she is winning we just have to stay out of danger to let them focus. We will just get in the way."

"Noo I am strong grandpa said so I can!.."

"ENOUGH! do you think I do not feel the same as you we have to stay hidden. We do not know what these scumbags want. We will only cause unnecessary harm If we go out. The best we can do is drag father in here if he collapses completely."

"Okay!" *sniff sniff*

Outside a corpse fell to the ground split in two by a mighty halberd that looked like it has been rusting in the depths of the see for millennia. Lin Li Lin dragged the weapon back to her family before collapsing beside her husband. She had been fighting since the attack reach this area and the sudden fervor of the enemies did not help her situation. She had faced consecutive battles against hyper douluo and barely manage to win out thanks to the halberd. Lin Mo dragged his large wife who was slowly shrinking back to regular size near the cave entrance so he can watch over her as well but before he could reach all the way; a change occured from a far he sensed a powerful entity advancing quickly towards their location.

Li Lin opened her eyes and pushing Lin Mo while trying to stand on her unsteady legs. She was ready to give her life to win the oncoming battle. The black cloak man arrive in front of the family almost instantly after Li Lin got to her feet. He scanned the area looking for something, he had fled the fight with Feng Shi Jin because he felt something in this area, something he knew he could use to turn the tides in their favor and now he found it. A weapon powerful enough to help them win; he just needed to kill that woman wielding it. He charge down crashing directly into her using his hands that appeared like dark talons oozing with miasma. Li Lin blocked his attack with the halberd but her strength couldn't hold him back.

The enemy's movements pushed Li Lin dragging her along as they continually crashed through a few buildings before their momentum ended when they collided with a ten storey building. It immediately collapse killing the people inside dark wraiths flew out of the building heading straight for the center of the battlefield. Li Lin spat out a mouthful of blood as she used her spiritual power to check on her family. Despair filled her face when she saw that her husband was severely wounded while protecting their children from the blast. The children also looked like they were injured but manage to survive thanks to their father.

"MWAHAHAHAHA! It's finally mine I don't know where you got such a thing but this weapon is wasted on someone as weak as you."

The man picked up the halberd and tested out a few swings with it and then under his hood a sinister smile appeared. He pulled down his cloak revealing a handsome face and a bald head. One of his eyes was gray dead from the whatever cause the scar streaking the left side of his face. He was missing skin and flesh on one side of his face making his smile even more sinister.

"Magnificent! with this and the scepter we will be unstoppable HAHAHAHAHA!. and as a sign of gratitude I will make your death swift. NOW DIE TO YOUR OWN WEAPON!!"

"That is.... *gasps*... not mine..."

The Evil soul master heard the words from the collapsing woman while he was mid swing but before he could register the words the halberd was gone. The sound of a whale cry echoed from the center of the battlefield. He turn to look and horror took his expression, he saw a man wearing a white military uniform floating in front of him. The height of the man dwarf his own and he could hear the call of his looming demise choking him. Lin Ming's hair flew wildly from his energy as a slight golden radiance emanated from him. Ferocity of a mad beast was painted on his face he stared at the evil soul master like he was going rip him to shreds and devour him. Intense aura crashed into the soul master and the terrified man summoned all of his strength to quickly run away but before he could even begin; he saw his vision split in two before he collapse on the ground lifeless.

The attack severed the man in half along with the space he stood on; the violent winds of the distorted space consumed the corpse like a vacuum of unfettered plasma. The planar energies surge to rectify the damage closing the hole almost instantly after it had consumed the man. The Limit Douluo on the battle all had wide eyes as they felt the shockwaves of energy. A feeling they all longed for and dream of envelop them.
