43. Invasion

"Do something, or at least kiss, " a boy standing behind Elliot yelled.

Sheree had grabbed Rayne, or Summer, by the face and then they both froze. They stood eerily still for several minutes. Elliot, unlike seemingly every other person in the audience, knew exactly what was happening. They're in the dreamscape, Elliot thought as he stared at the two girls. Sheree didn't like sudden surprises and Rayne had given them all a huge one.

The audience around him began to get antsy. Some people booed and others yelled whatever insult they could think of. None of them moved though. As dull as the scene was, the anticipation of how it would play out held everyone in suspense. That changed when the roar came from the woods.

Elliot didn't know why, but the moment he heard it he grabbed Albert's arm and pulled him toward the mat.

"Bro, I'm with you. Don't rip my damn arm off," Albert said as he was dragged through the crowd.
