"Losing Control"

'A kiss as sweet as honey' was the phrase that first came to Sanya's mind. Sanno was kissing her, slowly at first, as if savoring every corner of her lips. He then conquered her lips like a wild beast, letting his tongue enter her mouth. Sanya was surprised and she flinched back a little, but Sanno's hand held the back of her head, pulling her towards him, as if she had no escape. Her blue, long hair, which was once neatly tied to a pony, became disheveled as he wrapped her hair around his hand. She trembled as he wildly kissed her, and instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck.

As Sanya tightly embraced him, Sanno placed his free hand at her lower back. When he suddenly grabbed her squishy butt, she let out a soft moan. Little did she know that in her first time, her body would get that wild because of the tingling sensations that Sanno was making her feel. He repeatedly groped one of her butt-cheeks, making her feel more aroused. She felt the urge to swirl her tongue inside his, and he did the same. The two of them continued, gasping for air in between their wild kisses.

Sanno kissed her as a distraction to make her forget her suspicions about him. It was supposed to be just a peck! His goal-oriented mindset and self-control were some of the qualities that he was proud of, but he became disappointed in himself. "She's just a pawn, Sanno… just a pawn…" he thought over and over like a prayer, hoping to make himself stop from tasting those kissable, pink lips.

But because Sanya had already placed her arms around his neck, he couldn't pull away. She tightly embraced him, and kissed him as if answering to his desire. They sometimes stared deep into each other's eyes, and closed them to feel each other's warmth. The naive young scientist was ready to give herself to him that night, and she was just waiting for Sanno's cue.

Sanno knew that he needed to stop himself. He shouldn't be there, exchanging kisses with a D.M. Cadre Assistant Scientist, when he still had a lot of programming and video reviewing to do. He was struggling to stop, but he remembered his purpose. He suddenly remembered what his father wanted him to do, and that was to uncover and reveal the wickedness that the D.M. Cadre was hiding from the people. He needed to know what their real purpose was. To do that, he needed to gather enough evidence, and Sanya was a pawn for all his plans. Besides, Sanya is just as ambitious as him. While she did her best to climb up to her career, he would be the one to bring down the institute she was working for. After self-reflecting on himself, at last, he held Sanya's arms to let him go, and pulled away from the kiss. He then kissed the back of her hands, saying, "You're so cute, Sanya," he smiled at her. "But we have to go now."

"Uhm! Sanno, uhm…" She pulled her arms away from him and covered her face with her hands in embarrassment. "I'm sorry… I didn't know what I was doing!"

Sanno chuckled, also embarrassed about what he did to her. As he sat properly and gripped on the steering wheel, he told her, "Let's go. I'll take you back to your apartment."

On the way back to Eulim City, they listened to the radio. In Sanya's mind, she was still reminiscing their steamy exchange of kisses. She stared outside the window, thinking about how her relationship with Sanno had gone to the next level. On the other hand, in Sanno's mind, he was thinking of how he should handle the situation, and stop thinking about that moment. He turned up the volume, and rock music replaced the awkward silence between them.

The next day, Sanno went to work at 5 o'clock in the morning. He planned to go home at 5 in the afternoon because his father Dexter said that he would be visiting.

In room B3-R10, Chrome was sleeping in the hammock attached to the high artificial trees. When Sanno entered the room, the sound of the metal door sliding woke him up. He changed into his indoor shoes, and saw the chameleon mutant climbing down.

"Good morning, Chrome," Sanno greeted. When Chrome had approached him, he gave him a box of cinnamon rolls. "I couldn't sleep, so I made some for you."

Chrome was delighted, and took the box of pastries. "Thank you, Sanno," he gave him a wide smile. "You look really worn out… Do you wanna sleep there for a while?" he pointed out towards the hammocks.

Sanno chuckled, touched by his mutant's kindness, "Thanks, Chrome, but they will see me in the CCTV footage that I'm slacking off. I might get fired."

"Ah, yeah, you're right…" Chrome replied. "Then, let's eat these! I think the last time you brought me cinnamon rolls was… your first day?"

Sanno nodded. He smiled at him remembering that day. "Yeah, but baking is what you do almost everyday, when you're not in a check-up."

"I want to be a baker, it was my dream," Chrome said, while they sat on the dining chair. "But I'm a mutant, so…"

Sanno sighed. It's another mutant who had dreams. D.M. Cadre should be helping him outside, not study him inside the facility like a prisoner. But what was really D.M. Cadre's purpose; why was it formed? Perhaps from the start, D.M. Cadre's goal was not to help the mutants, but something else. And he intruded the facility to uncover that secret.

Sanno prepared two cups of coffee, since Chrome was allowed to drink it. He also sliced the cinnamon rolls into bite size.

"By the way, Sanno," Chrome said, looking at Sanno seriously. "I think you dropped this," he took something from his pocket. He stood up from his seat, and went to Sanno's side. He took his hand, placed the thing in his palm, and closed it.

Sanno widened his eyes in disbelief. He looked at Chrome, afraid of what he would think of, and afraid of losing his trust. He didn't want to make mutants as his enemies, because they were the reason why he wanted to bring down the research facility. He just wanted to save them.

As he thought of how he should explain, Chrome looked at him seriously, and asked him, "Sanno… Are you a spy?"
