Tears

Anna's heart felt heavy.

When her parents died, she felt the same. But the tears she shed for her grandmother wasn't paramount to the ones she cried over her grandmother.

These were her thoughts when she woke up the next day. However, the hand wrapped around her made her forget that she was thinking of such.

With eyes wide opened, Anna turned.

It was only then that she remembered how Kristofer hugged her and held her while she cried.

Slowly shifting to face Kristofer, Anna found herself staring at his closed eyelids.

This was the same man she was to marry. The same man she would wake up to if and only if they will share the bed.

Anna lifted her hand and wanted to trace the shape of his face. But at that moment, Kristofer's eyes fluttered open.

Anna noticed that he was still wearing his work clothes. It must be wrinkled by now and it must also be uncomfortable. Yet, he managed to sleep through it.
