Angry at you(1&2)

DAWN'S POV

"Yeah?", he turned to look at me, before he looked away immediately.

But before he looked back, I saw emotions in his eyes: fear, sadness, pain.

What's going on?

"Oh yeah, you're right, it's my middle name, and also it's Nathaniel"

I smiled, happy that I know another thing about him, "so you're Christian Nathaniel Lewis, am I right?"

What!!!

He is obviously avoiding my question, isn't he? Or maybe he doesn't like the name. He should have told me, instead of ignoring my question.

He's just behaving like a pregnant lady, with mood swings.

I looked outside again, feeling tired from all the fun today.

Choosing to ignore him, I just rested my head on the chair, and I don't know when I drifted into my dreamland.

NATHANIEL'S POV

(Back to the amusement park)

It's like Dawn was full of energy today, even when we got to the roller coaster, I thought I was going to faint, I just closed my eyes, so that I won't see where we were going to land.

And that made me receive endless laughs from Dawn

We got down from the ride, and when I thought it was over, Dawn dragged me to the haunted house

I held her hand, I was really exhausted, but looking in her brown eyes, there was no way I could say no to her

We got to the haunted building or whatever it was called when I heard some idiots whistling at my girl

MY GIRL!!!

"Hey, pretty lady. If you're afraid of entering, you can just jump on me to save your pretty behind".

I've never lost my self control before, but now, all I could see was red

How dare they

I didn't know when I jumped on him, and started throwing punches at him. He had no right to talk to Dawn that way

"Chris, what are you doing? Just stop it, okay? He's not worth it".

I didn't even stop, when Dawn dragged me. I couldn't just control myself

"No, I need to teach this scumbag a lesson"

I really wanted to kill him, his bloody nose will not stop me

"I'm leaving, when you're satisfied and done with what you're doing, you  can join me in the car". I heard Dawn say, after trying to calm me down.

I sighed, letting the fool go,

"Dawn wait, I'm sorry okay?"

"Fine, I told you he's not worth it"

I agreed, but we better leave before he'll piss me off more

"don't you ever let me set my eyes on you again". I told him before I did anything again

I was about to apologize to Dawn again, when I saw her distracted by something, I looked at where she was facing

And I saw a couple feeding each other  ice cream, but I still couldn't pinpoint the interesting subject about them

Does she know one of them, or does she want ice cream? It must be the ice cream

"Should we get some ice cream before we leave?" I asked her, as she looked up at me

She smiled, and lowered her head shyly, "okay, choose any flavour for me"

Not knowing why she was smiling, I found myself smiling too,

Yeah, I'm really crazy

I was still thinking of which flavour to buy for her, when I heard someone call me, "Nath, lil bro, is that you?"

Oh shit!!

It was my second eldest brother Daniel, my favourite bro. There's no way I could pretend not seeing him

"Hey bro!!, what are you doing here?", I hugged him, although I was scared that Dawn might recognize him, and as the genius that she is, she would be able to put two and two together.

"When did you get back?". Daniel loved travelling, according to him, his main purpose is to explore, and that's the main reason why he refused to work at dad's company, he says it's like he's confined, not able to roam freely.

"Last week", he answered before smiling at Dawn, "who is this beautiful damsel, care to introduce?"

I tapped my forehead, how can I forget that Dawn was here, "Sorry. Dan, this is Dawn. Dawn, this is Dan, my brother"

Hearing that, Dawn widened her eyes in surprise, "Is he the same Daniel, your brother that you're close with?"

"Yeah"

Before I could say anything, she stretched her hand to shake his, "hi, I'm Dawn. Nice to meet you"

And the next thing. Dan did what he always does when he greets ladies, he lifted her hand, raised to his mouth and gave it a kiss

A KISS!!

Right in my presence, even if it lasted not more than two seconds, his lips still touched her hand in my presence

I couldn't explain, but I know I was boiling with anger, at who?, I don't even know

And that's when Dan decided to pull the spoiler."It's a pleasure to meet you too. I hope we'll see more of each other".

Expecting Dawn to turn him down flatly, instead she agreed, "Sure".

And she's even smiling at him, why would she smile at him? She doesn't smile at anybody else except for I and her aunt, so why is she smiling at him?

I've heard enough, "back off bro, she's off limits. Dawn, let's go". I say, feeling annoyed and bothered. Dan has always been the charmer out of us, he had his with ladies to make them swoon over him.

What if Dawn starts liking him?, it's not supposed to bother me, is it?

"Yo Nath, what's that I'm seeing?" Dan asked with a smirk, as I dragged Dawn out.

"Dawn, let's go". I dragged her, ignoring their bye byes.

We entered the car, when Dawn asked me about the ice cream. I was in no mood for ice cream now, "I'll get you another one".

I couldn't even hide the anger in my voice, and that's when she touched my cheek.

It almost broke my resolve, but I still kept my angry face,

"Why are you angry?", she asked me still, caressing my face

"I'm not angry" I wasn't anymore, really

"Yeah right, don't you dare lie to me, Chris". Yeah, she didn't believe, so I'll just play along

"Fine", she gave up asking me, when she saw that I gave no reply

As if remembering something again, she looked at me, "Daniel called you Nath earlier, is it Nath as in Nathaniel or Nathan?, is it your middle name?"

Oh my gosh!!!

Oh no no no

If I'm not careful, she might figure out everything, and...and..

What if she tells me to leave her. No matter what, I know that I'm not gonna leave her. I can't live without her. Call me selfish, I don't care, but I always get what I want

"Chris, what's wrong?" She patted my shoulder, probably seeing how I got lost

"Yeah? Oh nothing"

"Oh yeah, you're right, it's my middle name, and also it's Nathaniel". Well, I didn't lie

"So you're Christian Nathaniel Lewis, am I right?" Now, that's half lie, because I'm not even Christian or Lewis. I didn't reply to that, and she didn't bother asking anything again

I'm gonna tell her everything, but not now. I can't...now.

We reached the mansion, but she had already slept. So I had to carry her, that's when i saw her driver. Why do i keep forgetting his name? I really want to know whatever he's going on between Dawn and him.

I placed her on her bed, removed the sneakers, and covered her with the blanket.

I was about leaving, when I heard her murmur, it was a question "are you angry at me?"

My heart dropped, she thought I was angry at her, even if I was, I could never stay angry at her.

I sighed, and sat on the bed, beside her, removing the strands of hair from her face.

She really is an exquisite beauty. Despite her eyes being closed, and without makeup, she still looked beautiful. And my eyes cannot stop looking at her, especially her pink lips, "I can never stay angry at you for long"

Then she opened her eyes slowly, "that means you were angry at me", she sat up, and looked straight into my eyes, "I'm sorry"

At that moment, I don't even know what came on me, I leaned closer, and seeing that she didn't push me, I brushed my lips on hers, taking my time, like I heard all the time in the world, but I didn't dare take it deep.

I pulled back, and saw that she was still in shock. I placed my hand on her cheek "you did nothing wrong, so you shouldn't apologize. Instead I should, for being an angry jerk" I told her before giving her a peck on the lips again.

"Freshen up, then come downstairs for dinner". She didn't say anything and I took that as my cue to leave.

I went to my room, and sat on the bed, feeling heat across my face,

I'm not the one that's meant to blush, instead she should be the one to blush. But how can I not?

I just had my first kiss
