Due to constant betrayals in the past, Dawn White finds it hard to trust people, and even to feel that she's worthy of being loved. Until he came..... Nathaniel Park is the third and last son of his wealthy, conglomerate family. He needs to prove to his father that he is worthy of being his successor, and one way that might work, is being close to the daughter of the famous "W". She asked her aunt as she eyed him suspiciously: Who is this suspicious person standing by the door? "Oh, he's your new secretary: "SAY WHAT!!!" Dawn's POV
"And that was just my usual morning everyday. Nightmares, an angry alarm, and what else?.... Oh yeah, getting ready for work.
It's supposed to be a nightmare, but I've been having this same dream for the past 12 years, so I'm kinda used to it now.
And the clock?.... It was a gift from my aunt Laura, to keep reminding me of my mum. So she imputed my mum's angry voice that she uses, to wake me up, as my alarm tone. And that....I'm still not getting used to it, despite the fact that it's over 10 years.
Oh I forgot. Today I'm not just preparing to go to work. Today is my family company's 105th year anniversary(yeah, it's old). And so I have to be there to supervise things. I have those who can do that for me, but as they know, I like to do my things myself.
So, I check myself out in the mirror, and I nod in approval, looking at my appearance.
Opening the door, and there is Steeples, my secretary, standing by with a stoic expression. Believe me, I like fun, but my world doesn't, so there's no room for it.
"Good morning, Miss White, hope you're ready for today?" He says with a smiley face that doesn't really fit his kind of person.
Not wanting to be rude, I stop myself from rolling my eyes at him (I mean, he's old to be my grandpa.
"Yes, it's nothing new": I reply, looking around for someone, as we went downstairs. " Where's my aunt?, is she still asleep?"
"No miss, she's at the company already". Steeples replies with the same stoic attitude.
By 7am, really. Aunt Laura~~~
"Oh", I reply absentmindedly. I love my aunt so much, I don't know what I'd do without her, but she stresses herself too much for me, and no matter how many times I complain, she still does whatever is on her mind to do.
As we come out of my house, to enter the car. Peter, my driver quickly comes to open the car door for me, greeting me with a smile that I despise. "Good morning miss"
Not bothering to answer, I enter the car. No one knows why I dislike him, and I'm not ready to start sharing any story either. Steeples enters through the other door, and sits down beside me, as we zoom off, but not before he hands the company's tablet to me.
I look up at the skyscraper in front of me, through the tinted glass of the door, before Peter opens the car door for me.
I'm sure he too, doesn't know the reason I changed towards him, I walk into the building, as I remembered how we used to be close. So, I give the company's tablet back to Steeples, as he follows me inside. Our shares were really going higher, even when we've not started the ceremony.
As the CEO of the company, I have to say a speech, blah blah blah.... whatever. A usual thing. Let me just wrap this up, and go back home.
