Chapter 146

"I don't think that would ever change." Jaysa moved passed her husband to get some meat on her plate. Danzel couldn't help but smile. He had fallen in love with her and he will never let her go.

Jaysa was watching her husband mingle with his guest. She wasn't sure how much time had passed. She had at least three plates of food. Danzel made a comment about her gaining weight, but just ignored it. While her husband held conversation with the guest. They would try to strike up one with her. She would keep her answers short or just smile at them. She wasn't sure how to react or even make conversation with these type of people. If her husband let her. She would've slipped out by and now. Her husband though, wouldn't let her out of her site.

"Oh your highness." A man stumbled over to the couple. The man was completely drunk. Danzel looked at the man. The clothes he wore gave away that he was a noble. He was someone that Danzel had never seen before. Many people at the party he truly knew. There were only the ones he knew were important enough to keep contact with. Many other, were guest that his guests thought would be good to bring along. The man held a plate of food and shove several items in his mouth.

"Sir. You're drunk. You should go sit down somewhere." The man Danzel was speaking to spoke out to the drunk.

"I'm not drunk." The man slurred. He stumbled over to Jaysa and grabbed her by the shoulders. He looked at her and spoke, "Right your highness." The man burped loudly into Jaysa's face. Jaysa couldn't block the smell that come from the bag and began to gag. Danzel didn't take any time to grab the man and punch him in the face. The frunk fell down on the ground and passed out.

"Who knows this fool who dares to disrespect her highness!" Danzel yelled out loud. The room had become quiet in an instant. Everyone turned towards Danzel.

"Your highness! Are you okay?" Danzel turned to find Jaysa on her knees. She was covering her mouth with one hand and the other was on the floor holding her arched body up. He made his way over to her and bent down. He saw liquid dripping from her hand and onto the floor. She had gotten sick. The man made her sick. Jaysa started to gag again and more liquid slipped out between her fingers and onto the floor. Tears were sliding down her face as she began to sob. Danzel scooped Jaysa into his arms. She tried to struggle out of his embrace.

"Stop it. You will get sick again." Jaysa stopped struggling. She started to gag again. She tried her best to stop the liquid from leaving her hand. So, she used her other hand to stop it. Yet, it didn't stop the mess from landing on her dress. Danzel was ready to call out for a maid when one made her way over to him.

"Your highness. Is she okay?" The woman asked. Her voice showing that she was worried.

"I'll take care of her. Call a doctor for me and have someone to take care of this mess."

"Yes Sire." The maid bowed. She ran off through the crowd. Danzel held Jaysa tightly in his arms. She was still puking into her hands. He made his way through everyone and to the exit.

Danzel walked down the hall slowly. He was trying not upset Jaysa's stomach with the movement.

"I'm sorry." Jaysa moved her hand a little bit away from her mouth. Enough so Danzel could hear her. Some liquid still fell from her hands onto the dress. Danzel stopped and turned down a hall.

"Don't talk right now." Danzel walked into a room. It had a mirror and a medal sink. There was a large bucket inside the sink. Danzel put Jaysa down. He grabbed Jaysa's wrists and brought her over to the sink.

"Don't!" Jaysa spoke out. "You will get dirty."

"Be quiet. Let your husband take care of you for once." Danzel's voice was stern. Jaysa shut up. He had her dump the liquid that was in her hands into the sink. He then dunked her hands into the bucket of water. She silently watched as her husband washed her hands. He took her hands out of the water. He moved away for a moment and searched for a small cloth. Finding one, he made his way back to the sink. He dipped the cloth into the water. Once it was soaked. He walked over to Jaysa and started to wipe her mouth. Turning, he rinsed the cloth and repeated the process.

"I probably look absolutely disgusting right now." Jaysa spoke breaking the silence. Danzel didn't say anything. He finished wiping her face and rinsed the cloth again. He started to work on the dress. "I'm sorry I ruined your party." Jaysa tried her best to not cry as those words left her lips. Danzel threw the cloth into the water making it splash the water. Jaysa knew her husband was mad. She couldn't help what happened. Still, it was her fault that his party was now ruined. It was because of her. Danzel turned towards Jaysa. He grabbed her face with both hands. He made her look up at him. The tears started to fall down her face. He wiped them with his thumb. He leaned down and kissed her lips. She tried to pull way, but was unable to. After a few seconds. The kiss broke. Danzel's eyes stared into hers.

"You are not gross. You did not ruin my party. You got sick. It would be disgusting of me if I ignored you when you were sick. If I really thought you were repulsive just because you puked, I wouldn't be here cleaning if off of your body. So don't start assuming that you know what I'm thinking." Jaysa moved her eyes to the side. She didn't know what to say. "Jaysa." Jaysa moved her eyes back to her husbands. "I want you to stop thinking so negatively. I don't really care about the party if you are not there. And I defiantly don't care about it if you are sick. I wanted to celebrate this day with you. If you are not by my side, then there is no point in celebrating or having a party. Do you understand?" Jaysa stared into her husband's eyes.

"Yes. I understand."

"Good." Danzel pecked Jaysa's lips again and scooped her into his arms again. She wrapped her hands around his neck. "We need to have the doctor look at you to see what's going on, okay." Jaysa just nodded. She buried her head in Danzel's shoulders.
