Chapter Forty One

"Yum, yum, yum..." You bounced on the balls of your feet staring up at the food truck watching the workers cook, you were excited for your order. UA allowed a few food trucks to park at the school during everyone's lunch break today.

"Your food has already paid for." The man waved his hand at the cash in yours.

"Huh?" You tilted your head, the polite man pointed over to the collected of picnic tables nearby. You followed his gaze, only for your good mood to deflate. You thanked the kind people before walking over to a table, away from the one Bakugo was sitting on.

"Hey..." He walked over as you took your first bite. "...we need to talk." You ignored him, savoring the flavors in your mouth. "Are you listening to me!?" He snapped.

"No." You answered, finally looking up to him.

"I bought you your snack!"

"I didn't ask you too." You replied, "You can't buy my time."

"I want to talk about the mount-"

"I don't." You leaned back, "There is nothing to talk about."

"Yes, there is-"

"No-" Your tone was frozen as your rose to your feet, clearly unable to enjoy your snack before class. "-there isn't." You slapped the money you were going to give the nice men on the table.

"You don't-" Bakugo went to say.

"I already told you-" You glanced over your shoulder as you turned to walk away, "-I don't want a damn thing from you."

----

Bakugo sat on the bench inside the men's locker room away from the rest of his classmates, tuning them out as everyone changed into their gym clothes per Aizawa's order.

"I wonder why Mr. Aizawa wanted all of us to change?" Ojiro randomly asked, maybe his classmates knew something he didn't.

"No idea." Mineta shrugged, "I hate surprise exercises!"

"I think they are fun!" Kirishima laughed, "UA sure keeps us on our toes!"

"Of course, you would like them Kirishima." Mineta rolled his eyes as he walked away with Ojiro and Sero.

"Hey-" Kirishima turned to the three remaining students. "-we have grown pretty close, right?"

"Yeah!" Midoriya nodded, smiling brightly.

"We are friends." Shoto agreed.

Bakugo ignored them as he shoved socks onto his feet.

"Good." Kirishima nodded, "I-I really need to talk to someone..."

"Oh? Is everything ok Kirishima?" Midoriya asked, giving the red head his full attention.

"I-I really don't know." Kirishima took in a deep breath, steading his pounding heart.

"You look nervous." Shoto pointed out.

"I kinda am." Kirishima rubbed the back of his head, awkwardly laughing.

"You don't have to feel nervous." Midoriya pressed, "We are all friends here after all."

"Your right." Kirishima breathed through his nose. "Emotions are manly-" He started trying to hype himself up "-I-I think I am in love!" He blurted without a second thought.

"Wh-What!?" Midoriya and Shoto glanced at each other for a moment. Bakugo rolled his eyes.

"Th-That's great!" Midoriya broke the thick tension.

"Really!?" Kirishima sighed in relief, "I really need some advice, I-I have never felt this way about anyone before. I trust you guys with my life, which is why I told you."

"Who is it?" Shoto wondered.

"She is..." Kirishima looked to the ground, smiling, "...strong, caring, she is so amazing!"

"Well..." Midoriya looked to Shoto, "...who is the lucky girl?"

"(y/n)!" Kirishima blushed, feeling insecure with his open emotions. Thick silence fell over the lock room. Bakugo froze mid-way pulling on his boot.

"(y-y/n)!?" Midoriya blinked, his heart felt cold as his stomach soured.

"Yeah." Kirishima nodded. "She makes me feel so alive! She can always make me laugh and...and I don't know-!" Kirishima laughed, "-I just love being around her!"

"I-I mean sh-she is pretty great..." Midoriya mumbled.

"You ok Midoriya?" Kirishima wondered, noticing how pale he became.

"Ye-Yeah! I-I just wasn't expecting you to say her name is all!"

"What does that mean?" Kirishima questioned, instantly feeling defensive over you.

"N-Nothing!" Midoriya raised his hands,

"Is there something wrong with liking (y/n)!?"

"No-!" Midoriya promised, "I-It's just...I-I kinda...like her too...is all."

"What?" Kirishima frowned, "You like (y/n) too!?"

"Me as well." Shoto joined in.

"What!?" Midoriya and Kirishima gasped.

"Yes." Shoto nodded. "Do either of you know why she wasn't in class?"

"No-" Kirishima and Midoriya shook their heads.

Bakugo glanced over his shoulder at the three, his stomach slushed and his muscles tightened. You wouldn't even look at him, and now these three idiots were declaring their love for you. Flashes of you being wrapped inside their arms surged through his mind, bubbling range inside his veins he rose to his feet.

"Bakugo-" Kirishima called, seeing him leaving. "-what do you think about-"

"Your all idiots!" Bakugo snapped as he left the locker room.

"That sounds like him." Kirishima chuckled.

"Bakugo doesn't seem like the type to have feelings for anyone." Shoto shrugged.

"Yeah." Kirishima nodded in agreement, "He doesn't seem like the type to want to be a boyfriend-"

Bakugo pressed his fists tight, leaning against the wall beside the locker room door listening in on the conversation. Is that what you thought?

"What are we going to do about this?" Shoto wondered, "We all have feelings for (y/n)."

"Hm..." Midoriya thought, "...she isn't a piece of property we can call dibs on."

"I say may the best man win!" Kirishima shot a toothy smile. "Whoever (y/n) falls for will win!"

"This isn't a competition." Shoto muttered.

"I'm not gonna lose her to you two!" Kirishima grinned, "No way!"

Kirishima, Midoriya and Shoto met up with the rest of the class before Aizawa led them to the nearby gymnasium. As Aizawa spoke about the end of the semester and a training camp they would all be going to he opened the double doors in time to watch a student come flying into the wall next to them and crumble to the ground.

"Wow!" Kaminari peeked around the door to see the kid was seeing stars. Class 1-A turned to the gym floor; their mouths dropped upon seeing you standing in the middle staring at the student who laid against the wall.

"Next!" You called, turning to Class 1-B who all shuttered at your voice.

"We are sharing (y/n)-" Aizawa started, "-with Class 1-B today."

"What!?" Kirishima whined, "But why!?"

As Aizawa explained how the teachers were using your sparring skills to their advantage, Kirishima leaned in closer to Midoriya and Shoto.

"This isn't good-" Kaminari whispered, Bakugo glanced over seeing the four had grouped up and were inching away from the class. "-if Class B seeing how awesome (y/n) is they are gonna try to steal her away."

"Wow-!" Pony gushed, "-(y/n) you took Rin down with in minuets! Your amazing!"

"We are to late!" Kirishima dramatically gasped.

"No way would (y/n) leave our class and go to theirs." Midoriya looked over to you and Kojiro beginning to fight.

"She was going to transfer." Sero joined the growing group.

"That was before she was friends with all of us." Mina whispered, leaning over Kaminari.

"What are we going to do if she wants to switch classes?" Asui added to the panicked flames.

"That isn't going to happen!" Mina declared.

"How do you know?"

Mina pulled her lips into a thin line; you have been acting a bit off these past few weeks...was it possible Class B could sneak in and steal you away?

Aizawa sighed, rubbing the side of his head feeling annoyed by his students.

Vlad watched as you took his last student down with sickening ease.

"(y/n)-" Aizawa called over the murmurs of his students, "-how many more do you have?"

"He was the last one." You nodded to the student whos quirk was glue.

"Good-" Aizawa nodded, "-now-"

"Wait a minuet-!" Vlad stomped over to Aizawa, "-some of my students want a second match with her!"

"We agreed one match per students." Aizawa calmly answered.

"But-"

"What are your thoughts on Class 1-B?" Aizawa asked you, ignoring the tantrum Vlad was throwing.

"They need more experience." You answered.

"How dare you!" Vlad spat, "We can't all be raised to kill-"

"Watch how you speak to my student." Aizawa threatened, his tone dripping with venom.

"What I meant-" You repeated walking over to the teachers, "-was your class has the book smarts to be great heroes, I can tell you taught them well but learning from behind a desk inside a classroom is very different than an actual fight. You should know that."

"Well..."

"Maybe lay off the bookwork and get them inside a gym more often." You replied, "That is what I meant."

"You asked her to do this." Aizawa added on your behalf, "So don't get mad when she gives you her honest opinion."

"Whatever." Vlad growled, "Class B-" He called, "-let's go!"

A few students groaned, their bodies hurt from sparring against you but they did as told and slowly followed their teacher.

"Mr. Aizawa-" Jiro spoke up, but was ignored.

"Today's exercise-" Aizawa explained, "-is facing off against (y/n)."

"Oh hell yeah-!" Kirishima cheered, finally going to have his turn at fighting you, he was going to show you he was an equal! "-(y/n) you better not hold back against me!" The red head pointed you out as you walked over to your classmates.

"Huh?" You lightly laughed, not having a clue what he was going on about.

"We are going to have a fair, honest fight-!" Kirishima defined, "-may the best win!"

You smirked, shrugging as he held out his first.

"Alright, you got it." You reached out, fist bumping him.

Bakugo narrowed his eyes, seeing how friendly Kirishima was with you.

"We actually get to spar!" Mina jumped up and down beside you, "This is going to be awesome!"

"We are going to die." Mineta and Kaminari muttered together.
