'Finally, I achieved my first believer and it's such a op character!'

Now that Kami had his first believer, he knew that his next moves would determine his survival as a God.

As Kami pondered his next steps, he decided to focus on gaining more believers. Esther's gang seemed like a good place to start. With Esther as his devoted follower, convincing the children to join him would be much easier. Once they were all converted into worshippers, he could begin to exert his influence over the entire slum, establishing it as his base of power. However, Kami couldn't shake the fear of becoming the God of Decay. Despite this, he knew it was the most effective way to gather enough believers to survive. As Kami considered his next moves, he reflected on what he had learned so far. Firstly, he realized that only Esther possessed the ability to perceive him, a fact that both intrigued and concerned him. Secondly, he had gained valuable insights into how to communicate with the Sacred Medium. Through the system he learned that he could input messages via a specific interface. These messages would then appear in the Sacred Medium, where they could be read by his believers. This allowed the Sacred Medium to serve as an indirect means of communication, providing Kami with a new avenue for interacting with his followers.

Due to this Kami realized he needed to fully understand the capabilities of the system. There were likely many functions he hadn't yet explored, and he needed to familiarize himself with all of them to ensure his success.

After Kami thought about his plans, he started directly with the first steps and ordered Esther to gather all the children from her gang, 'I should start with these kids and use them to extend my influence in the slum'

"Esther, fetch the other kids and gather them in the living room of this hut."

Esther stood up and bowed before leaving the room

"Right away, Lord"

<Inside the living room of little hut>

"Esther, why did you gather us all?" Aeden asked. Please fetch all kids and gather them in the living room.

"Guys, you won't believe it! We got blessed! Adelaide is going to be okay! It's like a miracle! You see, when I was sneaking around Old Man P.'s place to grab some food, I stumbled upon this weird book. And get this, while I tried to feed Adelaide, it started glowing like crazy! And then, out of nowhere angel appeared and healed Adelaide! It was like something out of a fairy tale!"

However, not all the children shared Esther's unbridled optimism. Aeden, ever the skeptic, voiced his doubts, challenging the veracity of Esther's account. His skepticism cast a shadow over the room, sowing seeds of uncertainty among his peers.

"Wait, hold on a sec. You're saying there was this glowing book, and then suddenly, boom, an angel comes out of nowhere and heals Adelaide?" Aeden's brow furrowed skeptically. "I mean, are you sure you didn't just imagine all that? It sounds a bit... you know, far-fetched.", Aeden furrowed his eyebrows

"Aeden?! Are you accusing me of lying? Guys do you not believe me either?" Esther's face flushed with indignation at Aeden's incredulity, her fervor undiminished despite his skepticism. She pleaded with her companions to believe in the miracle they had witnessed, her voice trembling with emotion as she implored them to have faith.

"No! Clearly, not Boss! It's just pretty unbelievable... are you sure you did not abstain from eating again so we can eat our fill?" A boy with short brown hair and freckles urged

While Esther desperately tried to convince the others, an idea sparked in Kami's mind, a bold plan to solidify his influence and bolster their faith

[Do you want to use the Book of the Forsaken?]

[Yes/No]

"Yes"

Immediately after Kami used the book, a radiant light emanates from its pages, casting a ethereal glow. The book began to open slowly, revealing a blank page that gradually fills with shimmering golden inscription.

'Behold, mortals, for I am not a mere spirit but a celestial being from realms beyond your comprehension. Hear my words and know that I come with divine purpose.'

'Your Leader already believes in me, for she witnessed my hand in saving your companion. I urge each of you to have faith as well, and you shall find relief from suffering. To demonstrate that I am a true God, I shall grant you a taste of divine solace.'

Immediately after the last word manifested itself, Kami activated Lesser Healing and the same scene that took place with Adelaide unfolded here as well.

Suddenly, a sacred light, filled the room.

It emanates from an unknown source, bathing everyone in its divine glow.

Everyone's eyes widen in astonishment, as they witnesses ethereal beings, angels, surrounding them with their heavenly presence.

Their wings gently flutter, exuding a sense of tranquillity and grace. Every kid watches in awe as they extend their hands towards each one of them, emanating a powerful and holy light.

As the sacred light intensifies, their frail form, caused by extensive malnutrition, began to regain strength.

Yena: "Aeden! I'm not hungry anymore," she exclaimed, her eyes widening in amazement as she realized her hunger had disappeared.

Lucas: "Look, guys! You can't see my ribs anymore!" he declared with a grin, lifting his shirt to reveal a healthier frame.

Nora: "This is incredible!" she gasped, her hands clasped together in awe as she watched the angels' gentle ministrations.

Ethan: "I never thought I'd see something like this," he murmured, his gaze fixed on the radiant beings before him, a newfound sense of wonder stirring within him.

Baffled and absolutely overwhelmed, every kid, even Aeden, fell on their knees and prayed to the floating god with warm tears streaming down their face. Even Esther wasn't spared.
