Yu heard Zack wince in pain and stopped. She looked up and climbed close to him.

"I'm sorry," Yu said with a worried look.

Zack placed his arm around her.

"It's okay. You know we don't have to do this."

Ozen is a large demon covered in gold and black armor sitting upon a black throne. From his back protruded enormous scaled wings, and the tip of his horns crackled with red lightning. On Ozen's forearms were bladed gauntlets engraved with a red glow.

Alongside Lord Ozen stood an overbearing man clad in black armor. His name is Samuel, and he's the current vice-regent. Protruding from his back are angel wings the color of midnight that gave off a wicked aura.

Behind Lilith stood her two siblings among other members of the court. All are familiar with the field of battle and didn't take their eyes off her. Even with Zack by her side attempting escape would be impossible. The final chains were removed as the court fell silent.

"Why did you abandon your post?" Samuel investigated.

"I was following a group of soldiers who strayed from the target. They were attacking innocents on the road to Stormhaven. I intended to report their actions when a strange man intervened. He saved the humans with only a few strikes. Afterward, he spared our soldiers and even kept me from being attacked." Lilith replied.

"If this is true then why did you wait so long to report in?" Samuel asked as he approached.

"Those soldiers didn't even stand a chance against him. I wanted to find out who he was. Then he told me that he is a Nephilim."

"She lies to escape punishment!"

"Everyone knows it's just a myth!"

"Let her speak!"

With a slight raise of Ozen's hand, everyone immediately silenced their opinions.

"What proof do you have?" Lord Ozen asked.

"I witnessed six wings, and his aura was gold, not white. Has anyone here ever seen an angel with golden wings?" Lilith retorted.

"When scouts investigated the dragon claims two days ago they witnessed a bright gold light. Yesterday I received a report of angel sightings in the same valley." Samuel stated while giving his king a serious look.

"If this is true we need to gather a team to eliminate him before they can join together." A court member stated.

A wicked aura filled the throne room as the ground began to fracture under the pressure. Lilith's wings appeared as a black whip was conjured in her hands. With a flick of her wrist, a loud crack was heard through the court.

The ground began to crack where the whip struck as a pit opened, and purgatory flames saturated the room. Lilith's other hand began to gather the black flames as they condensed into a black bident. She pointed it towards Ozen as everyone readied to attack.

"I'll kill anyone who tries to harm him including you." Lilith declared.

Everyone was closing in slowly to position themselves, but they had to approach cautiously due to the black flames. Lord Ozen began laughing hysterically as everyone froze. After the outburst occurred he raised his hand ordering everyone to stand down.

"I wanna meet the man who made my daughter grow a spine. I'm glad to see one of my children inherited one." Lord Ozen announced.

The court had doubts about this decision, but as always they refused to question Ozen's orders. Many in the kingdom disagree with trying to coexist after recent human attacks, but his strength was absolute. Ozen called for a feast to welcome his daughter back, and that night Lilith updated her father and Samuel on everything that's happened.
