( Three months later)

( Su Ren POV)

It's been three months and things have progressed nicely, my cultivation level is completely stable now, and even though I'm still a three-star Dou Emperor, I'm stronger than I was.

And the relationship between the little fairy doctor and I has gradually gotten closer, I can't say I have any romantic feelings towards her at the moment, but at the very least she is a very close friend.

I haven't left here yet because I still haven't told her about her Woefully Poison body, and I've been waiting to build up tokens to summon my first subordinate.

But I will deal with these two things today, and after I'm done I'll have no reason to stay here anymore, the system gives out a random amount of tokens every day ranging from one to one hundred, I should have built up enough to have a good chance to summon a high-level subordinate.

( Normal POV)

" I've decided, I'll tell her when she comes home." Says Su Ren as he sits under a tree looking up at the sky.

" I don't understand why such a kind girl has such a fate."

( Later that night)

"I'm home." The little fairy doctor shouted as she entered the house and looked around as she took off her shoes and continued walking into the back garden to see Su Ren sitting by the pond.

Seeing him a bright smile appeared on her face as she walked up behind him.

" What is it saying tonight?" She asked taking a seat next to Su Ren.

" Tonight the night sky is sad, for tonight bad news must be shared and a parting is coming." Su Ren says looking her in the eyes.

" You are leaving?" She asked her voice filled with sadness and reluctance.

" I am leaving, but not tonight. You aren't going to ask about the bad news?"

" How much longer are you staying?? I thought your leaving was the bad news." She says her emotions change rapidly from sad to happy to sad.

"That depends on you, the bad news I'm about to tell is mainly about you, depending on what you decide I might stay another month or two." Says Su Ren still looking in her eyes.

" What is it?" She asks now a little afraid.

In the time they have spent together, this is the first time she has seen him like this, it wouldn't be a stretch to say he was worried, for a man who was cold to everyone else but her to show this emotion caused her worry also.

" Don't be afraid, I'm here." Su Ren says as he cups her cheek.

" Mhm." She responds as she snuggles her cheek into his hand.

" Read this." Su Ren says as he pulls back his hand and takes out a scroll from his inventory.

" Seven colors poison?" She questioned as she took the scroll, opened it and began reading it curiously.

It only took a couple of minutes for the expression on her face to change from curiosity to panic fear and sadness as she dropped the scroll and looked at Su Ren.

" Please tell me this isn't true." She begged as tears began to flow from her eyes.

" It's true, I'm sorry." Su Ren says as he scoops her up in his arms and holds her.

'For her to break down like this when I know she is much stronger mentally than she shows. It has hit her hard for someone who just wants to help people find out you're the exact opposite must have almost crushed her.' Su Ren thinks as he holds the crying girl as her tears soak his clothes.

Su Ren simply held her and let her cry.

( The next day)

Su Ren stood in the garden waiting for the little fairy doctor to wake up.

Last night she had cried herself to sleep in his arms and afterwards, he had carried her off to bed.

He didn't even have a chance to complete the conversation he wanted to have with her last night.

He didn't have to wait long as she soon came out of the house and stood beside him.

" How are you feeling?"

" I don't know." She answered.

" I Know you have a lot to think about but I have some things to tell you."

" As it stands you have two options practice the Woefully Poison body or don't. Practicing it will speed up the time before it explodes but you will have the power to protect yourself if you don't practice it you still explode."

" I want you to practice it." Su Ren says.

The little fairy doctor turns and looks at him as she is about to say something he continues.

" I want you to trust me, there are ways to solve the Woefully Poison body but to do that I need to gather the things I need, I want you to practice so you have the strength to protect yourself, I promise within five years I will have solved the Woefully Poison body for you, of course you can choose not to and do something else, but I will support you either way."

" I'll trust you." She says immediately without hesitation.

" Why? You're not even going to ask what the methods are I have to solve the Woefully Poison body?" Su Ren asked clearly surprised at how fast she decided to put her trust in him.

" Do you have the methods?" She asks.

" Yes." Su Ren answered.

" Then that's all I need to know, and as for why I chose to trust you, it's simply in the time we've spent together I've come to realize something about you." She says with a smile the first smile since they had their conversation the night before.

" What have you realized?" Su Ren asked genuinely curious.

" You are ruthless and indifferent, and mabe even cruel, and you may think you are above everyone else, but you no matter what."

" You will not hurt me."

Since coming to this world for the first time Su Ren stood completely shocked as he looked at the smiling girl.
